Re: OT: Rex Ryan 'Impossible' to Consider Jets Not Playing in NY Super Bowl

... Then Wrecks farted loudly and cleared the room.

Re: OT: Rex Ryan 'Impossible' to Consider Jets Not Playing in NY Super Bowl

This all assumes that Ryan lasts five years as HC of the NYJ. I see an implosion of some sort well in advance of that.

Re: OT: Rex Ryan 'Impossible' to Consider Jets Not Playing in NY Super Bowl

Eh. It's fairly obvious that Jets ownership wants part Buddy Ryan, part PT Barnum as their HC. He's a perfect fit for a bombastic city.

Re: OT: Rex Ryan 'Impossible' to Consider Jets Not Playing in NY Super Bowl

How the Jets brass continues to let this baboon run his mouth is beyond me.

Considering only every host city/team/stadium has welcomed two teams other than themselves to the first 44 superbowls, impossible to consider is a bit of a stretch...even for Rex.

Closest it ever came to a home team hosting a Superbowl was when SF played in one held in their own geographical area but played at Stanford (and not Candlestick).

I can't even figure out what that sentence means.

Winning allows for a long leash.

Even though he isn't talking about this year's Super Bowl, the target is only growing on the Jets' backs. I love it.

Agreed. I think we just need to get over it. And start winning championships again.

6-10. And I will be laughing.

Well, he did take them to the AFCCG in his first year with a terrific D even after losing Jenkins, didn't he?

I found his rants aggravating last season, then learnt to laugh at them, but now find them as interesting as the mumblings of a homeless drunk.

Having your facilities taken over? Christ sake it's not combat, it's a one off occasion and I'm sure as hell teams can't wait to get out of your locker room anyway.

I'd rather get changed out on the street, personally.

Now, I am afraid I have no idea of what you are attempting to say...

And invoking the Lord's name in vain! Goodness Gracious!!

knowing the fickleness of the jets media and fanbase, its impossible to consider rex ryan coaching there in 2014

Well, I kind of meant what I wrote. I'm not sure the Jets locker room is this sacred place where everyone would love to be and I'm not sure anyone treats these occasions as teams taking over facilities.

Then I made one of those overzealous remarks to note my dislike of the Jets that nobody really should be taking seriously as we both know somebody getting changed actualy out on the street is a little unrealistic in that situation.

The more Ryan opens his mouth, the better it is for the Patriots.

There's a bumper sticker that I see once in a while in Texas. It says: "Keep Honking--I'm Reloading." This should be the Patriots' motto this year: "Keep Talking--We're Reloading."

I guess talking up how great they're going to be in 2010 has become old for the Jets; now they have to talk about what they plan on doing 4 years from now. Amazing.

They pretty much have to when they're always playing second fiddle to the Giants.

Let him talk- I don't care. I only care about one team and that's why I'm on this particular web site.
