OT: Raiders Sign Aldon Smith To One Year Deal

But Aldon Smith plus Khalil Mack. Holy hell!

Mack will be the 2nd best DL in the NFL after this season. Guy is unbelievable. I hipe the Raiders will be able to get Smith on the field.

The Raiders are my favorite bad team in the league. Mack, Cooper, Murray are all fun players to watch. That pass rush duo would give Denver fits.

He's great but I'd give Aaron Donald the edge.

Despite off-field issues, Raiders' Aldon Smith IS eligible to play Sunday, per source. OAK will consider playing him, based on conditioning.

I don't know. If Carr can take a step up, Cooper comes in and plays like most of the 1st round rookie WRs last year and they get solid play out of their back end, with Mack and Smith (assuming he plays the whole season) they could make some noise in in the AFCW.

I'm not saying they'll be a playoff team or contender just that they might not be that 3-4 win pushover they usually are.

My upset of Week 1 is Raiders over the Bengals.

Sure he probably going to play. Eventually he will be suspended. It seems everything that has gone bad with this guy has been alcohol related. I don't think the two mix very well so I hope he gets the help he needs before he throws it all away.

I don't decry the Raiders signing him and give him a another chance. (How many does this cat need?) Sometimes loyalty can go a long way, especially if he is out to make some serious life changes.

Pretty much up to Aldon Smith from here. How does he react from the suspension? Not sure what's going on with his mind but I'm hoping he turns it around.
