OT/ PFT Site redesign is awful.

Good lawd, that new design is awful.

Yup, just went there, had a 'WTF' moment, thought I clicked on the wrong url, checked address bar, next thought "you've got malware", then realized I run linux, after all that came to the conclusion some giant ****bag webdesigner somewhere thought "hey, lets put stupidly big pictures everywhere so everyone cant find what they are looking for, wouldnt that be funny".

And sadly another website I unbookmark because it shouldnt be a 20 minute job scanning around massive pointless pictures to find something you want. Someone somewhere needs to be throat punched.

It's awful. I hate how all the sites have been changing the past couple of years. Huge pictures and slow to navigate through. I still hate the ESPN and SI "new" designs. I feel like an old man complaining about it.

Meet the new site, same as the old site

For those of you who (like me) were up until 4:00 a.m. ET or those of you who (not like me) were up before 10:00 a.m. ET, you may have noticed the redesigned PFT.

This is not the redesigned PFT.

After having a chance to study the new site and to explore its functionality, I decided that I prefer the old site. So we’ve switched back to the old site.

That may create the impression that I hadn’t seen the new site before it went live. I had seen it, I had some concerns about it, and I had assumed/hoped that it would be a process of simply making tweaks on the fly to get it to where I believe it needed to be. Once the new site was live, I began firing off emails with all the changes that I wanted, and I eventually decided the best thing for everyone would be to just change the whole thing back.

To NBC’s credit, it already has been changed back.
