OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Wynn, Dugger, Jackson, Harris, Meyers, etc. are actually a great core rather than closer to the bare minium that any team has from drafting.
Dugger of the bunch is the biggest reach. There's nothing he's done that shows he's a solid building block on D. I've said this over and over again, but he needs more of a pest in the running game since he plays so close to the LOS and deliver some hard hits on WR's/TE's over the middle. Watching him play is just meh. Not a bust, but meh. In year 1, he was just good for making a couple tackles per game and that's it.

Wynn is a really good player....when he plays. 3rd straight year on IR is not good though.

Jackson is a very solid #2 CB, but he gets roasted against big time WR's when filling in for Gilmore. With that being said, he's a playmaking CB and has recorded two straight years of 8+ INT's.

I really like Harris and think he could easily be a 1,000 rusher if he stays healthy, but his injury at the end of the season concerns me. Can he or Michel stay healthy for a full season?

Meyers is a promising 3rd option at WR, but that's it. Right now.

Onewu is a nice find. Do they keep him at RT or move him inside to replace Thuney if they keep Cannon?

Winovich is not as effective when he doesn't have veterans taking the attention away from him.

Uche and Jennings are situational rushers at best right now.

It was a read off of the DB leverage. That's classic Brady/WR synergy. It's interesting (to me) to note the lack of that between Brady and Evans as a comparison.

Agree but there was some later in the season. Remember Evans working the back of the end zone and pointing up to have Brady throw him a jump ball.

But that's not the same as reading the coverages the same.

So you would root for the Pats to do poorly over the next several years and root for Brady to pad his ring total? Sorry, I'm not going there...I can fully understand Pats fans cheering hard for Brady in 2020 to show the world he's not a system QB, but that is done and over with. It should be Pats and only Pats. At this point, everyone is 0-0 heading into the 2021 season. Can you imagine if we gave up before 2001 even started because the Pats went 5-11 the previous year?

I don't think any of the 3 had as many drops per playoff series as Godwin did.
Brown, Edelman and Dola always played their best, post season.
Godwin finally did play reliably in the final, SB game.
Bucs need a reliable short yardage across the middle move the chains guy. Godwin is too expensive for that and hasn't shown that ability. He's a fast, usually reliable (but not in post season) mid range guy. Maybe he's over the post season butterflies but I'm not all in for a $$$ contract.
Idk if they sign or franchise Godwin but if the Bucs keep the same offense (OL, WR, TE) together in 2021, I see Brady throwing for 50 TDs and winning MVP. Obviously depends on injuries but they won't have the communication issues from earlier this season.

I want the Patriots to get as many championships as possible. They're not doing that without some big-time draft picks, so I want them to get as much draft capital as possible. If they can go 11-5 while doing that, awesome! I'm not rooting for them to tank; I want them to win. But I want them at the same time to put an emphasis on developing a young, homegrown core of players to build around, and that means trading away assets for whatever they're worth. I'm shocked they didn't trade Gilmore, McCourty, etc this year for best offer. That's what teams do when they have a ton of roster holes. They do not have a solid young base now, and it's comical how much some people on this forum will reach to claim that a handful of guys like Wynn, Dugger, Jackson, Harris, Meyers, etc. are actually a great core rather than closer to the bare minium that any team has from drafting.

Look at Tampa Bay's core team that Brady walked into. I'm not saying it has to be that, but look at the huge amount of great young players they have. That's the result of some really favorable draft positions, some of which they traded down and some of which they drafted studs.

For his career Godwin has some of the best hands in the NFL despite a handful of drops while still recovering from a broken finger.

I’m going to overdose on all these tears. This is absolute peak Brady Derangement time. I love it.
From what I’ve seen, Packers and Saints fans are taking this one hard (especially Packers fans)

49ers and Colts fans are pretty much past the point of giving a ****.

Your average Tom Brady hater. You can fill an ocean with all the angry tears that have been shed by his haters these 20 years.

I love it!

It’s been two weeks and still have haters like Kelcies hobbit girlfriend talking about the refs.

Btw, Chiefs fans are blind. They actually believe they were jobbed with penalties but they just can’t see the refs actually let their oline hold on every play just to keep the game from getting out of hand with their qb injured. Yes the pressure was that bad, like if they did call all the holds it would of been 1st and 80 and the game would of went 8 hours.

xxxbtw, Mahomes performance was not by any stretch the best by a qb on the losing side. Tom Bradys 500+ vs Philly was without question. I’d also easily take Warners in sb36.

The Chiefs were going to lose that game penalties or no penalties...They were getting dominated on both sides of the ball...The Bucs O just got complacent in the 2nd half they couldve put 40 on them
