If I didn’t give you any links or context, you’d think Max Kellerman authored these posts. Holy ****.
Which is why I don't understand what the **** Arians and Leftwich have been doing all year. You have someone who is absolutely money on throws inside the numbers and the best of all time reading defenses. ****ing ride this **** to a title instead of going for those deep shots that sink drives.
I don't get where the obsession with deep balls comes from or the almost allergic reaction people have to the term "dink & dunk" as if it is something reprehensive. Just kill them with a thousand short/intermediate passes as an extension of your non-existent run game and then unpack those 2-3 shots at strategically good times. Jesus, what McDaniels would do with so much talent..
It is almost like you are in a cult. Breath in and breath out and then realize that the Bucs would be a much better team if Brady wouldn't waste drives on low percentage shots.
Bury your head in the sand and ignore all evidence contrary to your opinion. That’s the ticket.Just ignore all the posts linking to analyses of his long throws above. Pretend they don't exist.
Uh huh.
Yeah, most likely he got to pad his stats towards the end of the year when they played a row of gimmes
Only about half in total but pretty much everything in the 2nd half.I was cursing at Godwin all night. He dropped everything.
I think during the bye week they made some big changes. I know personally - even watching some games where they scored 40+ points earlier in the season, I still couldn't stand watching that inefficient offense that was just looking for big dagger plays even when they weren't there.
I cited some stats about Mike Evans last week, but his yards per target is at a ridiculous ~13.5 since the bye. And that's because most of his routes have been so much more efficient. He's running a lot of comebacks, curls, slants. Earlier in the year, it was all go routes, back shoulder stuff...just low percentage.
Godwin, Brown, and Miller are all getting the ball more efficiently in space rather than those over-the-top routes. They've also largely stopped trying to force the ball to the running backs since they aren't very good after the catch. And they've gotten Brate involved a lot more.
So yes, I agree. They had been running a very inefficient offense all year, but their success the last four games is not just due to inferior opponents, and the game against Washington was telling. I hated how stubborn they were for much of the season, but it's clear now that this offense is finally being influenced by Brady, hence these horizontal and middle of the field routes by Brown and Godwin, constant rotating different personnel in and out, pre-snap quick reads, etc.
You're both still looking up at @Dingleberry.
Good looking out, bud.You need to charge your phone
How is that possible that every second or third string QB like Wolford or Heinicke looked much better than our set of QBs.
I watched Heiniche. I could have sworn he had a very solid game. Threw a TD, ran one in, over 300 passing yrds, rushed for 46 yrds. The 1 pick knocked his rating down. Is that the only play you watched?QB ratings - Wolford 64.7, Heinicke 71.7, Cam Newton 84.5.
Either you didn't watch the games or have no idea what your looking at. Wolford and Heinicke are great stories and lousy QBs.
Heinicke had a QBR of 63 against Tampa which is better than 9 of the 15 Cam’s gameNewton's QBr as a Patriot was 47.1 ( 30th position) with 8 TDs and 10 INT. No comment. Heinicke has thrown over than 300 yards in this game ( Cam had only 2 games this season ) and yes Heinicke looked better against Tmla than Newton most of his games as a Patriot. Needless to say this kid Heinicke played with a serious injury.
And we are talking about 3rd QB and our "starter" QB.
I was cursing at Godwin all night. He dropped everything.
And one of them was a TD and at least one of 3 left was a drive killer.4 drops.
But worthwhile to keep in mind that this was his first NFL playoff game ever.
