Doesn't mean a damn thing if you can't win against top teams consistently. Tampa has yet to do that. They won't even get tested until the divisional round.
LOL. Says who? Getting to the tournament is what matters and then anything can happen.

Pats were 0-4 against winning teams in 2011 and got to the Super Bowl

The 2011 team was overrated and faced little competition in the AFC. That was the year Edelman was playing CB, right?

Where the Bucs are going to have to play well against top teams outside of the NFCE winner, which as I've said, they haven't done this year for the most part.

yes I think it was that year. Didn’t he get an INT? Maybe I’m thinking of Troy Brown

Sterling Moore was our top CB yikes

Yeah i agree with this for the most part. They did kill Greenbay, were in the game vs the Rams, but the Saints own them

I see the Saints are beginning their annual December swoon.

Yes, and quite frankly the Pats should never have made it to the SB that year as the Ravens should have won the AFCCG. That was the infamous game where Billy Cundiff missed the easy FG thanks to the Pats scoreboard operator "forgetting" to change the down to 4th.

He’s done very well against crappy teams with the exception of GB. He’s 0-5 against everyone else.
Doing well against “crappy” teams is something we used to do well. Gotta beat the crappy teams to make the playoffs. Wish we had beat the Broncos and 49ers.

Yes, we used to do well against crappy teams and good teams. Now we can't do either.

Minnesota outplaying tampa bay but losing because their kicker is horrible.

Either way, don't see Bucs going too far with this defense
Yeah Bucs D is very inconsistent like ours and Tom is way off too....OL shaky...unfortunately don’t see Bucs going anywhere this year

Making the playoffs is going somewhere for the Bucs and is a big deal for them. They haven't been in it for somethimg like 15 years.

So far they look like pretenders but they got the talent and have 3 games to show they are contenders. I'm not counting them out. I expect them to go into the playoffs on a role.

There's no doubt he's better than Cam, but Brady would have 17-20 TDs in our offense and he'd be moody over our crappy receivers.
Yes people are ignoring that Brady last year had a worse stat line than he had this year with a pretty pathetic defensive schedule all things considered. We probably would be slightly better record wise with a more strengthened passing offense, but it would be more of last half of last year where it would be uninspired drives and Brady looking miserable.

At least now he can live and die slinging the ball around to talent like he wants to instead of throwing the ball away on multiple 3rd downs and walking off the field with his head hanging.

Spot on. Listening to how excited their media is reminded me of 2001. They are pretty psyched to be 8-5 and in the mix. That was a big win beating a team like Minny that had just won 5 out of 6 and is fighting for the WC. It is nice to hear the media be so positive and excited unlike our curmudgeons who make a win by 20 feel like a loss.

It's nothing like 2001. The Pats in 2001 were a "nobody team" with backup QB. The Bucs are this year's dream team and perhaps the most overhyped team we've seen in a while.

At last, they started motioning guys. They motions more this game than all season combined.

what’s baffle me the most is they can’t hit guys in the middle of the field. You would think that on play action you should be able to hit Godwin or Brown in the middle of the field a lot but no, everything is on the outside!

The winning formula in my opinion is, run the football and play action a lot and Brady will destroy defenses. All his good passes today have come on play action.

Brady is not comfortable with this offense.

Far away the biggest problem is that Brady is hard-wired to get rid of the ball inside two seconds. That's how he's programmed- and has been doing things for a long time and his ability to just fire it is what gives him a certain comfort zone. He's just not used to routes taking forever to open, in this vertical offense. There are no crosssers, no picks or rub routes, even out of trips or stacks. So he gets jittery when his brain screams at him to get rid of the ball, and receivers are still getting to their stems.

As you say, play action has been his bread and butter lately because it typically gives him a longer leash to work with. Historically, even when here, he's always had a longer clock when he does PA.

Not buying this. Our O-line this year is 800% better. Thuney is Thuney but Wynn > Newhouse, Onwenu > injured Cannon, Mason > injured Mason, Andrews > Karras.

That was the entire reason Brady threw about 20 balls away per game after 1 second. Especially Newhouse. We have a bunch of #3 WRs. That's hapened in the past too, and we did ok then.

Has Gronk ever caught a Hail Mary? It looked like the throw was spot on today and I think a younger Gronk would have fought harder and been quicker to get a better chance at the ball.

I still burn over the Philly SB game. The D players were holding Gronk down so he couldn't leap for the ball. Also Hogan was bulldozed while running downfield and might have had a chance too. Too may things went wrong that game

I think Gronk also had a chance at a hail Mary in the 2011 SB not sure. If not that game, it was another important playoff game.
