OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Tampa is killing their free agency so far. This is what having a winning culture can do for a team. If they keep Suh that’s their defense basically staying in tact. Gronk probably comes back for beer money and they really don’t need AB, he’s a luxury. Oh yeah, no state income tax in FL must be a nice attraction too.

Any chance they can still resign AB and gronk?

Barrett's cap hit is less than $6m, and there are still players who can be given clean extensions. So, the remaining unsigned players (of the 8) should not break the money situation.

Gronk seems almost a done deal to come back. They can keep the cap number low by adding a few void years to the end of the contract.

I think AB will most likely return as well and shouldn't be expensive.

Pretty sure that’s just Gronk being Gronk. No way he plays with another quarterback.
I hope you are right. It depends what Bucs are willing to pay for him and how much money another team will throw at him. Sure he might go for a 1 or 2 mil discount but not 5mil.

Our Pat's just gave Jonnu 12.5 million average for production similar to Gronk and I doubt at his size that he can block like Gronk. I think Gronks fmv just went up to $10 to 12 mil.

On spotrac his FMV is 8.5million. I think it will take an amount very close to that for the Bucs. The Bucs talking heads were speculating around $5MIL.

For players, it's not just about money but pride in where they rank as determined by pay.

Then he’s gone. You have to take into account another team overpaying for a guy whose younger.

Why was this thread moved?
Ian has a life & a family. Probably tired of incessant messaging from a few "True Pats Fan" vocal whiners making his net life miserable.
We see in life that a loud minority that obsesses 24/7 gets pretty much any institution to give in.

At 32 with his injury history, Gronk is not worth close to 12 mil or 10 mil. I would assume the Bucs end up paying him 7 or 8 mil.

They need gronk back for his blocking skills.

Gronk signed for $10 million (as reported). Wonder if that includes a couple million of incentives.

1 year deal. Good for him. Bucs didn't even let him get to Wed. Lol
