The all time best players for sports often make for awful coaches.
Indeed. It’s the reason why Einstein was a terrible teacher. Everything came so easily to him that he worked off the assumption the same things would come so easily to his students. I can’t see Brady wanting to coach anyway. He’ll go full bore with TB12 once he hangs them up.

Last night, Mike Yastrzemski was on SF sports talk radio lamenting how it was hard watching Brady win a SB in another team's uniform. This morning, Brandon Crawford was being asked about his HS QB days and then the subject turned to Brady's amazing career.

It's funny hearing pro athletes in a completely different sport far outside of New England gush about Tom Brady.

Regards,
Chris

BA already said Brady wouldn't make a good coach because he's too much of a perfectionist. Makes sense.

This is totally off topic. But Einstein was also not cultured in academia. He came out of left field. It was just foreign territory for him.

Imagine Bill doesn't get back to the SB before he retires. Brady comes back here as our new head coach - and in his first year he does get to the SB. LOL
Hilarious were it to happen but we all know that his Commander in Chief will never ever let TB come live in cold climate New England again.

Don't be shocked if OBJ ends up in TB.
Yeah. That's on the table. I think for all of us Pats fans, it is weird to think about an org paying its own guys AND signing big names because we have been so conditioned over 20 years to Bill's mantra of building the team for the long-term with signing mid-tier guys and finding gems in the later rounds of the draft. That is not Tampa. They want to maximize these years with Brady to the fullest even if it means mortgaging the future to some extent.

PFF is predicting that Tampa will sign or tag Godwin and sign both Barrett and Davis.

The Bucs could be one of the most talented superbowl champs to return the following year.

  • all 5 OL returning
  • all 6 DBs under 25 & returning
  • White’s third year at MLB
  • likely upgrade at receiving RB
  • offseason to mix offensive philosophies (saw that towards end of the season)
Bucs finished 8-0 with more than 33 PPG & Tom with 8.7 YPA. Throw in the fact as you mentioned that they could go all in similar to the Saints & they have a chance to have an elite offense & defense. Absurd.

Yeah Lavonte David is a Must re-sign...Barrett might not be worth what some other team is willing to pay him...And if Godwin is indeed re-signed, then I'm not sure if there's enough room for OBJ too...

To be honest, they were a nothing franchise for their entire history except the two years they won the SB. Mortgaging the future is not something they should be afraid off right now. Winning another one with Brady would do wonders for the organization and its standing within the sports world.

2002 was all about their defense, it is not very glamorous. Winning with the GOAT is and could help them attract players even after he is gone. Being perceived as a quality organization and a desirable location.

Lol how can anyone even think Bucs would entertain trading for OBJ why in gods name would you give up anything to strengthen your deepest position.

Also Suh annoying he wants back is huge you can’t run in Suh/Vae they make the other team one dimensional.

Where’s the money coming from? There ass?

I love that even defensive players are talking with Tom about staying with the team and mentioning him before the actual GM. Jason Licht has gotta be loving life.

That is the power of the Brady effect. A defensive player talking with Brady about staying. I agree about Licht. His job has never been easier.

The Bucs are not the Pats.

You don't need OBJ if you bring back AB and Godwin. But, if you don't bring those two back, you need to replace them with chain moving WRs. So, if you don't bring back Godwin, for example, OBJ is a nice replacement option, and he'd be cost certain for the next 3 seasons ($15.75m, $15m, $15m).

No you don’t if they bring back only one of them say AB they don’t need Odell at all. Scotty Miller and Brady have chemistry this opens up for him to play more and he feasted down field last year. They have Johnson’s who was phenomenal as a rookie now he’d get an offseason with Brady and time out in. Dude was supposed to be a 3rd round pick and he proved that. No need for another WR Miller/Johnson are ready to step up as the third/fourth option
