Not really. Thats how serious business is done. Young, homegrown, legit starter at prime position, 5y deal, well below top of the market.
Id be glad if Pats made an offer when he was tendered at 2nd round but DAL was obviously not letting him go.

On the other hand Pats have zero starting RT despite paying combined 12M and 3 picks (incl Strong)
And the silence about Onwenu extension is hardly promising . id be very happy to hear about similar kind of extension here..

To be fair when do we ever hear about Pats extensions before the ink is dry? So I would say silence is par for the course.

I took him at the end of my draft with Evan Hull, Colt's RB.

I like Parker, Juju, Bourne for what they do, but the Pats should play Douglas a lot.

He's a live wire who can power this offense and create a spark. Kid's explosive, and can get open in a phone booth.

No idea but he has bounced around the last two years so I assume he has a real issue (effort or on field smarts).
