Backup Mt. Trashmore: Twizzlers, Laffy Taffy, Circus Peanuts, and Necco wafers (sorry Massachusetts, I know they are local, but they taste like chalk dust)

I'm a Boston native and Necco wafers suck almost as bad as candy corn.
They are an embarrassment to the entire state. I disowned them many years ago.
I'm pretty sure it was a New Jersey guy who invented them.

If Circus Peanuts are those foam rubber fake peanuts that are always stale as all get-out then they should be #1 on the Trashmore heap.

They would be higher but they have all but disappeared, since it was firmly established that they suck a very long time ago.

I used to like Sweet tarts. they have all but disappeared too.

Sweet Tarts are definitely available all over up here in NH.

When I was a kid my favorite candy was something called a Clark bar. Kind of a better version of Butterfinger, to my recollection. I think you only find those in the gift shop at Cracker Barrel these days.

I used to think that too until they changed the recipe and made it much much worse (in my opinion, anyway).

I would submit Spice Drops and anything black liquorice or black liquorice-adjacent for a spot on Mt. Trashmore.
