OT: Matt Patricia Now Calling Plays For Eagles D. EDIT(Now Out Of Contract, Will Move On)

So you guys thought Matt did a good job in SB LII? Very confused. What about last nights game?

Hard to blame him when he was crying on the sideline because the coach refused to put him in face of the defense getting blasted
Sure it is. He said he wasn't 100% locked in for the game.

He wasn’t close to 100% all week or on game day
The episode on the sideline suggests the real answer was he was on that day where JC Jackson was on Sunday, but his agent chose not to tell the world.

How do you go from “he threw the game” to “I don’t understand why you disagree do you think he did a good job”

Also there is no universe where “forgiveness” is required to someone who chooses to identify with a team and cries when they don’t get what they want. I mean you deserved more than 3 SB championships in 5 years, didn’t you? You worked hard for it. How dare that guy who just coordinates the defense take away your entitled 4 out of 5, that you earned.

They did a good job last night.

Don't know what else you need to see.

They limited them to 13 points until the final seconds when their CB clearly crapped the bed.

There is no way to defend a 35 yard throw to the boundary in the end zone. Doubling the player is going to take away the inside, so when the ball goes outside, the CB must be there to knock it away. Easy. Even Bradberry knew he screwed up.

The strategy was also the right strategy because time was running out, 22 seconds, they were on the 35, and a field goal doesn't help them. They need a TD.

Wow. That escalated quickly into "entitled" fan talk. They handled that game poorly and directly led to the Eagles winning their first SB. Coaching decisions from Bill and Matt. If you are not angry with them, then you can''t consider yourself a serious fan.

What did they do wrong precisely? Are you talking about Malcolm Butler?

Sure it is. He said he wasn't 100% locked in for the game.
Doesn't matter. It's on the coaches to play the players. Malcolm was willing to play. Belichick and Patricia were not willing to play him. We know what the result of what they did was. If Malcolm came in and stunk it up, we could look back in hindsight and say "yeah Butler screwed up". But instead the end result is a coach watched his defense get torched and refused to replace the guy getting burned with the second best CB on the team.

Are you angry at butler for not getting ready to play? Are you angry at the players who didn’t execute?
Why would you be angry about something that you are a spectator who chooses to watch and follow?
Why would you look at the greatest dynasty ever, that was handed to you as a fan for free and focus on being angry about getting to yet another SB but coming up short?
Being ANGRY makes you a child.

Matt doing what he does best, can’t stop backup QB’s and allowing the opposition to march downfield.

Amazing how some posters can’t see the correlation as to why he was “good” in NE as opposed to Detroit. By the way, his defenses got worse in Detroit. That shouldn’t happen if you’re a so called “guru”. Ditto with McDaniels. They both immediately looked like they forgot how to call an offense and defense after leaving their Daddy Bill.

Butler said he wasn't ready. He was sick.
