OT: Lions Showing Interest in Judon

The guy has made $74.6 Million over a 9 year career where he only played in 5 total playoff games (where he basically disappeared) and is going to be 33 in two weeks. He should thank his lucky stars that he has made so much for so little production. Unless his money management is absolute crap, he shouldn't be worried about money at this point. Health? Sure. But not money.
2 points from me

1) money is first and foremost
2) at 33 years old and on his last legs, and with $75m already made (who knows what is in pocket) I would think winning is now his priority.

I'm just sayin, it's a business for these guys not just a game. Not going to begrudge a guy for being greedy about wanting more pay. Nobody would call you greedy for trying to get more money at your day job.

1) No way. Health is first & foremost. You cannot buy health. You cannot undo CTE or knee damage or back damage. Health is priceless.

I would not call anyone greedy to their face, but in this specific case... isn't it greed? He should have enough money to live out the rest of his life comfortably, if he has managed that money at all. If he is in such dire straits financially that he needs another $6-7 Million (if he's lucky), he's screwed because he isn't playing professional football forever. If he's burned through $76 Million (probably closer to $50 Million after taxes), he'll burn through what he's going to make for another year of football in very little time.

1) we agree to disagree

2) I am not saying Judon needs the money, nor am I saying he has or does not have any money. we don't know. but it is possible he does have plenty of money, and it's not worth his time and effort to play this season for under a certain amount, or with out some sort of guarantee.

1) we agree to disagree

I know a lot of people who wish that their money could buy them their health. A lot. I have never met anyone who faces lifelong pain say that it was "worth it". You're right - we have to agree to disagree.

FWIW - Julian Edelman agrees with me.
