That's awesome. Tennessee fans must be rioting right now. I used to like Kiffin with the Faiders. When he came to Tennessee and started bad mouthing Meyer, I realized how much of a spoiled brat he is. I just wish Florida could have whooped them this season (credit to his dad and Tennessee's defense for preventing that).

I thought Fl did beat Tenn. Ala and Auburn did too

I know it was Desmond Howards opinion, but please tell me how you can say the "third" choice on USC's list is to quote Desmond, USC "definitely hitting a homerun with Lane Kiffin." USC is by many accounts awaiting what may be a huge NCAA slap-down for Pete Carrolls errors as the head coach. Lane Kiffin, as if Desmond didn't know this before his comments, does if I'm not mistaken have the Vols under an officially announced NCAA investigation for recruiting violations regarding coeds. Kiffins reputation on the East coast and particularly in the South is to put it mildly "not good" and you can bet his national reputation will take a hit from this. In short, is this the kind of guy you want your kid playing for? Funny thing is the knee jerk response to this post is as long as he wins it doesn't matter but two big questions make Desmond Howards "homerun" comment very questionable: 1) Ah, Kiffin has never won as a head coach (7-6) 2) Possible probation issues facing USC and or TN are certainly going to have parents questioning if this is the kind of guy I want my kid playing for 3) He's marginalized himself to many respectable people within the college football world 4) He's a bonafied "loose cannon"

If this is a "homerun" maybe Desmond needs to spend a little more time on the toilet.

I was actually referring to Meyer's leaving Utah while reneging on the ND job then going to Florida. I don't blame him taking a leave of absence for his health, either.

How do you feel about Texas Tech and South Florida using flimsey excuses to get out of the contracts of each of their coaches?

I'm sure most people would turn down a huge increase in their salary though, thats the American way.

Nothing changes at USC. They have the highest payroll in college football yet never get reamed by the NCAA. LA doesn't need another pro football team, they have the Trojans.

Contracts go both ways. There is termination language in their for a reason. I'm trying desperately to get out of my employment contract before its term. Does that make me a lying weasel? I am just in a very bad employment situation.

Lane Kiffin is a weasel..plain and simple.
He is a terrible hire for USC.
there were so many more qualified people out there.
Furthemore he will bolt again for the NFL first cahnce he has.
