I might be mixed up, but hasn't Taylor always had Matt Light's number? He's always highly disruptive against us, so Rex probably thinks it sends yet another shot across the bow of NE (who had rumored interest last year).
Actually, that is a common misconception. Most years, Taylor owns Light IN MIAMI (sometimes embarrassingly so). But when the game is played in New England, Light owns Taylor. In the eight games he has faced Light in Foxboro (at least the regular season since I don't think they have met in the playoffs), he has 36 tackles and 3.5 sacks. That is an average of 4.5 tackles and .44 sacks per game. Not bad tackle-wise but most of the tackles cane in three games.
