This is a classic play were the defense gets more praise than it should. And I'm talking about any defense. Cooks was wide open from a busted coverage, but Goff saw him way too late. I mean WTF was he looking at? Had he saw Cooks immediately, only a drop by Cooks stops that play.

Credit to JMac for going across field to attempt a pass breakup (got away with a PI?) and this was a prime example of why the Saints and Pats didn't want to pay Cooks - he hates contested catches.

JMac was a very good signing and awesome to see him play side by side with his brother.

It sounds like you have a different interpretation of what pass interference is. As long as the ball hits the receiver first or at the same time, the defender can touch the receiver anywhere he wants (aside from a facemask penalty). It sounds like you're thinking of basketball where if you're trying to steal the ball you can only make contact with the ball itself.
