The Dallas Cowboys have asked the NFL to investigate the New York Giants’ reported use of unregulated walkie talkies from a 10-7 Giants victory Sunday night, Troy Hughes from 105.3 The Fan first reported the Cowboys request.

...

As Hughes pointed out Monday morning, a NFL employee is responsible for cutting off the in-helmet microphones when the play clock hits 15 seconds. With McADoo on a walkie talkie, the NFL wouldn’t be able to control the communication.

Time for the outrage!

Waaaaaaaah. I got beat and they CHEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAATED!!!

Vegas odds that Giants are punished in any way or that is a story in two days: 30,000:1

Those cheaters! How dare you cheat "Jerrah" out of a victory! There'll be hell to pay for this!

League has been turning into a joke for a while, but now it's official. I expect cheating accusations to become a weekly thing now.

That aside, as someone that despises Mara, I hope the hammer comes down on his franchise. Somehow, someway, I highly doubt that will happen. Nobody will care.

Were anything to happen (yeah, I know) we can be sure Bobby Kraft will intercede for him.
Please Sir, may I have another?

One thing about the complaint makes no sense. The walkie-talkies would have been / were used to communicate between the coach upstairs in the booth and the coach on the sidelines. It would have no relevance whatsoever to communication of the coach with the in-helmet headsets of a player and the 15-second cutoff rule. The player didn't have a walkie-talkie jammed in his helmet and there's no way a commericial walkie-talkie would operate on the right frequency to talk to a QB, or else we'd all be having fun with opposing QBs.

Measuring footballs on the sideline which is illegal, using walkie talkies which is illegal, I sense a pattern, or a history, of cheating. That'll be a first round draft pick and a million buckaroos.

Like little kids..

Walkie Talkie Gate...woopie!

True, but the unauthorized sideline communications are a problem. Remember when what's-his-face from the Browns got hammered for texting? Or did I dream that?
