OT: Further Proof Channing Crowder is not a bright person

He seriously spent as if he was going to be drafted in the first round because Mel Kiper thought he would and then later revised his estimate saying his stock dropped. In fact, weeks before the draft, Kiper dropped Crowder to the third round because of injury concerns.

One thing Belichick likes in his linebackers is intelligence. Crowder has proven time and again that he really lacks intelligence and after reading this article, he also lacks common sense and the ability to take responsibility for his own actions. I would take anyone of those guys before Crowder.

I'd take Cunningham and Spikes over crowder in a heartbeat. Ninko and guyton have different roles but yeah i'd take crowder over them but then again he still wouldn't start on this D with Spikes and Mayo at ILB.

Brandon Spikes had arguably better rookie season than Crowder had. They both averaged about 5 tackles a game. Both had 3 pass defenses (although Spikes missed 4 games due to a suspension). Spikes had an interception while Crowder didn't. And let's not forget that Crowder had some great defensive players around him like Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas in their primes. I think Spikes has the potential of being a far better ILB than Crowder. For that matter, so could Cunningham.

Comparing a seven year veteran to several players who have one or two year experience isn't a fair comparison. Personally, I would rather have Spikes and Cunningham.

I have a feeling that Crowder knows that, though. Whether he’s launching into bizarre diatribes about Anne Frank and Helen Keller, or saying he has no idea where London is, I usually assume that when we laugh about Crowder’s ludicrous comments, we’re laughing with him, not at him.

So you rate the seasoned veteran Crowder higher than a bunch of middle round and undrafted rookies who were learning to play a very complicated defensive system? Way to go out far on that limb.

Crowder finished last season with fewer tackles than Spikes, BTW.
