Remember the time Tony nailed a lobster trap to the ceiling in the Miami locker room during Pats week? Some of the players had never seen one and did not know what it was.

dave wannstadt, before a vikings game.

Wasnt there another time that Tony put an axe in the locker room and the Kicker cut his foot on it?
jack del rio, when he coached the jaguars.

I was 60 when I started to have mild chest pressure. Didn't really bother me at first, since I thought it was my asthma, and it was a hot and humid July that year. After about a week, it got so that walking more than 20-30 feet left me winded and tired.

Finally, a Saturday morning, I decided enough was enough and drove myself to the local ER (just a few miles away) to see about a breathing treatment. The ER docs set me up with one, and did some blood tests. They came right back and said it wasn't my lungs. My heart was the issue.

They wired me up and all that, and an angiogram showed I had 3 blocked arteries with tiny blockages in the other 3. They transported me to the cardiac care unit at Maine Medical, in Portland, and after a few days monitoring and testing, the surgeons did 6 bypasses on me in an 8-hour procedure. Turns out I had blood clots that formed slowly and blocked my arteries.

Anyway, I'm fine now. Had a CT scan a few months ago, along with a chemical stress test and bloodwork, and my ticker is fine with no indication of further clots forming. So there's that. I'm not posting this for sympathy, but to show it can happen to anyone for any number of reasons.

I pray that the Angels of His Mercy will bring solace and comfort to all the coach's family and friends.
Good man listening to your body.

About three years ago I was golfing with my wife's uncle and he was telling me his chest had been feeling tight for the past week. He was huffing and puffing to the greens, tee box, etc. I told him he needed to get checked out. Next day later he was checked out and they performed an emergency double bypass on him. He was in good shape too. He fine now. Still can't putt.

I'm not a doctor so not sure what tests they performed but I gotta think because Tony passed away they would have picked up something? Gotta wonder if there was anything they could have done.

What a shame. Godspeed.

My Dad went in for testing Thursday of last week. Said he had minor chest pain and complaining of cold feet. Admitted him on the spot for a double bypass.

My Daddy Cat left this world at 64. That was too young.

Coach Sparano was even younger.
