Alas, you have to register. BUT... you can uncheck many boxes and hopefully not get assaulted by ESPNJUNK.

Actually, no -- there's a plan there. The hope is for the league to organize a final week "draft" between players from teams who won't have made the post-season, to guard against players being benched in real football. But thanks for the support!

the 2 superbowl participants would just be drafting 2 entirely new teams?
does espn have that kind of functionality?

No, for the playoffs, pre-week 17, there will be an e-mail "draft" of players from non-playoff teams (who wouldn't be playing, anyway) to help avoid any issues of teams sitting starters. If that isn't feasible, we'll change the post-season format.
