All these shenanigans about whether he'll retire or not and whether McNair should be kicked out, they're just a cover. He's just trying to draw attention to the commitee will select him as next NFL Commish and then EVERYONE, not just John Madden, will have to suck up to him.

I know, I meant "now" not "how". My fingers are evil that way.

But you're right; he is only allowed to do this because of the way the fans there adore him. Though, from what I hear, the tide is starting to turn against him. It's pretty pathetic for it to have gone on this long. What good will waiting to see who the team drafts do for him? His decision on whether or not to play has huge implications for the draft.

Anyway, he should stop being a turd. I've wasted too much energy breaking down another team's problem.
