OT: DeSean Jackson Taunting Penalty

Such a talent, but I don't think he can survive the level of professionalism here. We do have a couple of knuckleheads but nothing like this guy. He is one talent I really don't want.

Definitely should have been a dead ball penalty..

I was wondering why the Eagle's side wasn't making a bigger stink about it.. And I was wondering since the Refs made it the ruling that way, what would happen if the Eagles declined the Giants penalty?

Translation: like the "tuck rule" call, the rule was enforced correctly.

And, of course, DeSean was an idiot.

[N.B. There is a specific exception for TD plays.]

Thanks for providing the rule specifics. I guess this is another case of proper enforcement but dumb rule. This play should be exhibit A of why this is a dumb rule. The Giants benefitted from committing a penalty.
