OT Derek Carr retires

He got tagged two times in a row in WA, then got a huge guarante contract in Minnesota, despite doing little in WA.

He never took that abysmal franchise anywhere, but he sure as hell had 3 great seasons as a starter there.

Pretty sure if you asked any of those GM’s if they’d do it again, the response would be “He’ll no”

That's easy to say with 20/20 hindsight but if a 27 year old QB was a UFA who, in the past 3 season, threw for 13,000 yards, 81 TD's against 36 INT's, that QB would get a HUGE contract somewhere. One very comparable to what Cousins got from Minny.

I’m not saying he’s not good. I just don’t think he’s an elite prospect in the group of a “suck for luck” or “tank for Trevor”, or even a “Tank for Tua” level of successful/ high upside prospect. At the end of the day, if you follow Texas football he didn’t win out the starting job this year, despite what his familys media connections might want you to believe, simply because he wasn’t better then ewers.

The overwhelming consensus is that the plan was for him to be a backup for 2 years and then a starter for 2 years. Saying "he didn't beat out Ewers" is a non-sequitur. If Manning wanted to start last year, he would have been a starter.

Hell, he was officially 3rd string his freshman year behind Maalik Murphy but only an idiot can't realize that wasn't based on talent but simply based on a desire to bring him along slowly.

Here in the real everyday world it seems fairly apparent they wanted Milton’s ass outta here. Maybe someday we’ll even get the straight story on why. Not holding my breath though

When you're in QB limbo, like MN was, Cousins was definitely worth the risk. What were their other options? They had a bad first round draft pick and it would have been hard to get all the way up to grab a good QB.

They had a pretty good run with him, just never good enough to turn into anything great.

From what I've read/heard.. Milton became a problem in the locker room as far as his maturity and feeling entitled.. I don't believe by any means he's a bad person.. but if you remember in Vrabel presser he specifically said I'm removing entitlement from the building.

a guy has the game of his life against 3rd stringers in a hapless game and felt like he's a starter. He's Jerry Jones problem now.

Rodgers is flailing around and falling apart. Russel Wilson has gotten passed around more than Zach Wilson’s mom. Carr is burnt toast at 34.

It’s crazy how some of the things Brady did, as awesome as they were in real time, are even more amazing in hindsight.

You and I both damn well know that Fraudgers thinks he’s damn good right now and is the same as he was when he was 23 which is so far from the truth. Brady really was/is that unicorn….

Not crazy at all. Brady was a fanatic about taking care of himself and his health, year round. He had it all down to a cutting-edge science.

People used to make fun of his diet and exercise choices, but it turns out they really worked for him and probably for others who applied them the way TFB did. I don't see any of the others working as hard on maintaining their bodies as Tom did.
