With record high numbers of shootings and killings in Chicago, I'm happy the Cubs came through for a city in desperate need of great news and great vibes. Congrats Cubbies!

Yes, congrats to the Chicago Cubs and a big shout out for President Of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein bringing a long awaited championship to another team. Maybe he should transfer to Cleveland now!

We have been there, now it is their turn.. well deserved. Too bad we could not find great GM's like Theo Epstein..

Congrats Cubbies! I have a friend who works for them can't wait to see his ring.

If s/he is driving in Chicago at night, a ring is hollow compensation...

Congrats to Theo and the Cubs. He's cemented his place in baseball history as the architect of two teams that broke decades-long curses. That's definitely impressive stuff.

While i agree with what you are saying, If memory serves me right when Theo joined the red sox in 2002 they were already a strong team and there was no major building/rebuilding done on his part (again, i am not taking anything away from the awesome job that he has done)

They were a stronger team than the Cubs were, yes. But they were just a strong team. He guided them into being a World Series contender and champion.

Poor Tito, happy for Maddon though. Shame Cleveland didn't win because LeBron may have gone out and partied all night. Going to suck trying to stop him without Jae Crowder.

Can he rush the passer?

IDK...I thought they fought hard and deserve respect. Were never supposed to be in a postition of being up 3-1.
I have a co worker who is a big fan and he only got 3 hours sleep and came in with donuts for everyone.
White Sox fans here are dismayed, to say the least.

Theo brought in Big Papi, Schilling, Bill Mueller, Kevin Millar, Johnny Damon, Keith Foulke...

Congrats Cubs & fans. We knew the feeling about 12 years ago!
