OT: Congrats to Jeff Fisher

I find this thread pretentious, especially coming from a fan base that endured Rod Rust and **** MacPherson. We're better than this.

Get real. Success in New England included good coaches like Raymond Berry (.554), Chuck Fairbanks (.541), Ron Meyer (.545), and Bill Parcells (.500).

Jeff Fisher (.521) has a winning record over a long career in the NFL. He's 5-6 in the playoffs, and made it to a Super Bowl. This is not so different than Raymond Berry, who also made a Super Bowl and lost.

The Bills would give anything for a head coach who could sustain a .521 record (Rex Ryan .492).

Yea but Ray Berry was a Patriot and cool and Fisher is a prick who put out a bounty on Rodney in 2006.

The Patriots Kool-Aide isin the fridge and has Absolut in it...start drinkin.

Best show ever, Larry David must puke seeing crap like Big Bang Theory get huge ratings.

After some persuasion Larry David is coming back next year for a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Never seen it, I assume it's good because of Larry David?

You're right, mediocrity is definitely something to be admired.

I'm thinking StanK. will give Jeff a one or two year extension, then send him packing after this season as a thank you for managing the club thru the transition from StL to LA.

The best gauge for whether or not you'd like it is whether or not you liked Seinfeld. I know some people who weren't big fans of it, and don't love Curb either. I was a huge Seinfeld fan, so I also think Curb is great.

So yeah, pretty much funny because of Larry David.

I blame that on the coach, after being there this long.

Certainly. I don't know to what extent Fisher had control over personnel, but both he and the GM deserve a ton of the blame. They took the RG3 haul and ended up with a boatload of bad to mediocre players, and Fisher's ruined talented QB after talented QB after the criminally underrated McNair left him, and looks like he's on his way to doing it with Goff too.

Rams fans were heard chanting NO-FENSE! NO-FENSE! NO-FENSE! when the Rams were on offense or defense.

He has a job because he plays footsy w the media (national media especially), they pump his tires, refuse to be critical of him, and the owners believe what the media writes/says about him.
Also he's a "name", so that carries w it some cache I guess...

Fisher has pictures on someone because he stays employed as a HC even though he sucks.
He's just a good ole boy and has an owner who doesn't care about winning

Congrats, Jeff. I guess there are no perks to being in the competition committee. Lol
