Well I think the odds of Kaepernick staying in San Fran just went through the roof. Genuinely intrigued to see how he does there, hope they're willing/able to commit to giving him a few years to rebuild though. That team is a skeleton crew right now.

Assuming ownership can get out of its own way, this could be a great opportunity for Kelly to succeed.
This has never been the way for them. I don't see anything changing, especially not after Chip Kelly was handed the keys in Philly and did next to nothing with it, except blow up a team that had players perfectly suited to run his system and bring in guys who seemed, at least to me, less capable of running his system. I know BB speaks very highly of him and I'm certainly not someone who dislikes him for any reason. I don't want my post to come across that way. I just saw mediocrity from afar. I could be fuzzy on other things that may have happened that I just never read or heard about.

This guy gets it (at least on this issue):

Eagles couldn't get a coach because nobody respected GM Howie Roseman. And people slammed Chip for wanting power?

The franchise’s decline directly follows Howie Roseman’s rise to power.

Roseman has been general manager since 2010, minus last year, when Chip Kelly had the power. These have been dark days, filled with coaching turnover, quarterback instability, poor to average drafts and free agency catastrophes.

And precisely zero playoff wins.

Roseman is one of the most curious people to ever work for the Eagles. His track record is spotty, but he has Lurie convinced he’s some sort of boy wonder who can do no wrong. Lurie even fired Banner, his closest friend, in order to give Roseman even more power.

Coach doesn't matter until Eagles fix disastrous front office

Kapernick is horrible. If Kelly commits to Kapernick he will be out of SF as fast as he was out of Philly.

Chip Kelly proved he can coach. Just don't let him gather personnel
