Roman is not a good OC, but the Chargers needed to throw someone under the bus. I've said this for several years, but the Chargers skill players have been atrocious. Ladd McConkey is a nice complementary piece, but he clearly can't take over games. Keenan Allen is an old man and Quinton Johnston is nothing special. Gadson is meh. Running game is trash. Harbaugh acts like Frank Gore is still on his team.

Dean Spanos is a terrible Owner and I let a very close family member of his at a party know that they are wasting their time with Phillip Rivers when he was still with the team in 2015. They had a fluke run of draft picks in the mid 2000's and haven't done much since.

all this bluster

The chargers have been competitive for years. To make believe that they have not is just plain silly.

Their OC has kept them from being more successful.

I think that the chargers will YET AGAIN be competitive in 2026. Yes, they need to add a couple of players on Offense and have a better OC.

outside of sundays game, when was the last time you really gave the chargers a second thought? 2006, 2007?

OK, so all that matters for you are patriot games and the Championship game.
=========
They've been in playoffs 4 times since they arrived in 2017. They won a playoff game in 2018.

They've been in the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 years. Fans of many teams would like for their team to have that record.

9, NINE, head coaches have either been fired or left (tomlin).

That's insane. Not to mention Aaron Glenn and Zac Taylor who are both bad and could easily get fired next year.

This is why bad teams stay bad. Either you keep hiring these loser retreads or you pilfer the college ranks for losers like Lane Kiffin.

Theres no way there's enough qualified competent people on these teams to make the right decisions

your point would have more validity if you didn't have to look it up.

I would add Todd Bowles to the list of bad coaches still coaching

I guess Drake Maye really is a QB that can get coaches fired.

I’m feeling insanely grateful that the Patriots grabbed their QB in a stacked QB draft and their HC in a stacked HC year. Is there any coaching candidate this year who you’d take over Vrabel or Ben Johnson or Liam Coen?

Other than Harbaugh nope...

I think Tomlin have eyes on next Off-season some current HC's are on very short leashes. Strong 2027 Draft on Tap from QB all the way down.

Shows just how badly the rest of the league thinks of this Fool's Gold defense, that if you can't score at least double-digits against them that you deserve to be Fired

The Patriots D carried the offense against the Chargers… so there’s that.

If the Chargers offensive line had been healthy they would have had more of a chance.

It would be pretty funny if Greg Roman ended up in NY back with the other Harbaugh.
