Re: Cards Vikings flexed in

The chances of heat playing much of a factor on Dec. 6 is unlikely. To the contrary, the HFA is probably diminished with the 1pm start time.

It's still going to be very hot down here compared to what the Pats are used to. Every Christmas, I have to travel down to Ft. Lauderdale to visit family and still manage to sweat when I'm outside... and I've lived in Florida almost all my life.

Worked in MA but my company HQ was in Sunrise FL near Ft Lauderdale in the mid 1990s. Summer. The locals challenged us to a hoops game at lunchtime. We had the serious horses to destroy them, even with me on the team. I thought I was gonna die. Sure I was the oldest but it was way too hot to run and run was my game. Lost.

Yep. It's good for conditioning though. You'll never get used to the heat, but you'll learn to deal with it. Try playing football in it... next to a swamp. Two a days in the summer with full pads was not fun.

Re: Cards Vikings flexed in

Not good, I too like the 1pm starts but I'd rather play at night in Miami, too hot for our team thats not used to it. That said it wouldn't effect the outcome of the game.

Temperature will not play a factor. The average daily temperature in Miami for the month of December is 69.5 degrees with 80% humidity. Many of the players on the Pats roster came from schools in Florida or on the Gulf Coast.

by december, except under unusual circumstances, the weather is pretty darn nice in Miam, so I don't think heat will be an issue...probably low mid 70's as a high. the pats are as smart as any team in the nfl when it comes to hydration and being ready for game day conditions.

i lived in Miami for a couplof years. December and January are why the Snowbirds come down after Thanksgiving.

i do think playing in foxboro in December is an advantage for the Pats, but I don't see the reverse as an advantage for the Fins.

I lived in Miami for a couple of years. You must have caught some anomalous weather as December is beautiful in South Florida, low mid 70's during the day, low humidity...

can't dispute your experience, but it's different than mine. let's see how it plays out this year.

Re: Cards Vikings flexed in

The Sports Book at the Bellagio is a great place to watch all NFL games on a Sunday in Vegas (free drinks), but you have to get there early to get a seat!!

Or BET a bundle and you get a sweet high roller seat......Ceasas is really nice as well, but all the larger hotels have great sports books with all the action you would ever want.

Watching 10 or so games, all at once, in a crowd of gamblers that bet on everything from first fumble to last team to score and everything in between is an amazing sight to behold.

Re: Cards Vikings flexed in

I actually would prefer this to be a 8 o'clock game so that I can watch the NFL REDZONE for all the 1 o'clock games.

:scream:

CBS station according to Zap2It here shows Colts game is on at 1 PM. CBS station themselves only say "regional action" at this time. God I hope they decide to show the Pats game instead. Screw the Colts.

This sucks....for me! I rented a house 2 hours south of Miami in Marathon, and the 8pm start was perfect, we could leave at 2 and still get there by 4pm for tailgating. It would have been perfect if they flexed to 4:15. But now we have to leave by 6:30am to get early tailgating in.

Tough driving after driving 1600 miles down there and then getting right back up the next moning and driving 2 hours north. (how weird is that to say, 2 hours NORTH to miami), any way should be a good time.
