I'm a big fan of Calvin's. I was all for the Patriots trading multiple high picks to get him. I think he's the best in the game. He can/will do things that Moss never did.

He's not close to what Moss was at his best. That's not a knock on Calvin. That's an homage to just how dominant Moss was.

He's not close? I am not saying he is better than prime Moss, but he surely is close. He is catching two TD's per game with double and sometimes triple coverage every snap, and Mathew Stafford(good bu not great passer).

And to the poster who said Rice prime was better than Moss prime is wrong, its not even close.

Especially when he wasn't taking plays off...

1st down: Randy runs a 60 yard sprint down the left sideline

2nd down: Randy runs a 60 yard sprint down the right sideline.

3rd down: Randy "takes play off" on screen pass to other side of the field.

Calvin Johnshon
24 Rec
321 yards
AVG 14.4
TD 8

Wes Welker
40 Rec
616 yards
AVG 15.4
5 tds

Welker is better in every area, except TD, and thats only 3 behind, on a Team where brady spready the ball around like no one else, in fact, I think Brady even threw a TD pass to the water boy once this year.

We are talking about Moss vs Calvin, (yes, moss was way better) but how about we talk about people playing THIS season. Welker is hands down, no question about it, the best WR playing in the 2011 season.

Not even close. Moss was a game changer even when the game was still more run oriented. Johnson's having a great start to his season but, as someone pointed out, it's arguable that he's not even having a better year than Welker.

And as much as I like Welker, he's not Moss in his heyday.

I don't think you understand how dominant Randy Moss was in his prime years in MIN.

For the record... Moss' most "dominant" year was here in New England actually.
