There's always a spot for him on the Raiders. They're the NFL's version of the island of misfits.

Raiders are the only team dumb enough to hire him as a ball boy let alone as a head coach...

Then again given their favorable history toward the Patriots hiring him might allow the Patriots to ravage their draft picks and players again.

Does anyone know this Erin O'Brien? IE how old she is, what she looks like?

I have an old long lost acquaintance with that name, I wonder if it is the same person.

I'm guessing she's about 29 years old from this linkedin profile which looks to be the same person...

Tonight on NBC's pregame, Rodney was saying that Mangini needs to cut Derek Anderson. The fallacy there is that Rodney is assuming Mangini knows the difference between his sphincter and a hole in the ground.

Thanks for that. Different person, alas.

Because "Erin" is such an uncommon name for an Irish girl with a last name O'Brien...

Whoever hired Mangini should be fired as well. I mean, what did they think they were getting? The browns took 5 steps back into oblivion when they hired Mangini. Shameful.

Cleveland fans would agree with you since it's their incompetent owner. Unfortunately those are usually the very last to go.

His latest plan was to hire an internal spy (the QB BB was eviscerated for canning who is now on the verge of personal bankrupcy so he obviously needed work) and now he is talking about possibly hiring a Parcell's like overseer to make all the football decisions like firing Mangini and Kokinis. Only problem with that plan is Lerner would be the one deciding on the qualifications of that new hire, too.

..............And playing the role of Al Neri- Bill Belichick.

Say your Hail Mary's, Eric. You are going to need them.

If he's fired in Cleveland, could you imagine...........

Oh no, I can't even write it.

(but Dean Pees is getting older and it would be quite the entertaining circus.....)

I very highly doubt that would happen. Not when pretty much the whole pats organization considers him 'Fredo'.

Mangini's just a turd but as inept as he is he is financially set for life. He probably wants to get fired so he can live in the fields with the rest of the mushrooms.

I'm surprised Dabolll is still there ... how is he surviving all of this? Mangini said today he is going to rely more on QB coach Carl Smith. Do tell Eric ... is this the same guy who helped you dcide how to use your QB's?

In addition to Brad Seely, Bob Ryan, Bryan Cox, and Rick Lyle.

There's no truth to the rumor
that when Eric is walking in downtown Cleveland male dogs lift their leg and wizz on him

That's funny

Surprised no one commented on this yet...

George Kokinis out - CBSSports.com

After that ugly incident in 2007, a lot of us said Mangenius would never coach an NFL team after New York. We were wrong... but maybe a year is all he gets.

FWIW, I knew Erin when she was working for Kraft Sports, and her decision to join Mangini in New York was a personal one. As it was explained to me by a co-worker, the two were very close friends.

...and before you go there, it was also described to me as an older brother/younger sister kind of relationship. Nothing inappropriate going on.

Still, Erin was always very nice and very professional when I dealt with her - so I'm sorry to see this happen to her.
