OT: Board Speed Issues

Made a few changes late last night and this morning, which I think should speed things up a bit. I noticed we hit some points in the last week or so where things had been lagging and I had done some digging to try and figure out why, but I believe I've found the root of the problems and things should be running a bit better now.
