Your point also underscores how much value we'd obtain via a small trade down from 3. An extra mid to high 2nd rounder would change everything in terms of WR.
It's true you can find a WR that way, but what if you end up taking Troy Franklin and he busts? You pass on Daniels, settle for McCarthy, McCarthy becomes mediocre, and Daniels becomes a superstar?

Or McCarthy and Franklin become a superstars and Daniels busts.

Bills being cheap. They should just keep restructuring and backloading contracts.

In that scenario, we have to prioritize QB, meaning we can't take a lesser QB (by NE's own ranking) in order to manufacture draft capital. Trading down can only be when we rank the 2 QB's as equal. In that case you have to trade down if the right partner and deal is available.

If we can entice AZ to make a deal, that would be the best because not only do we only drop 1 spot, but AZ then picks Harrison and both QB options are still there. Plus, AZ also owns pick #27 so part of the comp would be swapping 34 for 27. Wolf should start putting out the message that we're not enamored with the QB's after Daniels, and that we're either gonna trade down or pick the bpa (Harrison).

27 would still be a tackle, though, correct? We'll need extra picks to have a chance at a Xavier Worthy or Troy Franklin type.

Personally, even though these guys are fast, they may end up being Tyquan types. There's no one to know if they can run routes. I hate B12 WRs, just hate them!

This is what happens when you have the 16th ranked defense like the Dolphins did (Chiefs 3rd best) and don’t have one of the most expensive offensive lines in the NFL like Mahomes did.

Spending insane amounts of money on a few guys, and nothing on everyone else is how you fail. We don’t know how competitive the Dolphins would have been of they used those draft picks on players, rather than one player… but I bet "competitive" would be the answer.

QB magic, it’s the answer for everything.

If Mahomes and Tua switched rosters, who wins the Super Bowl?

That sound you hear is Buffalo's window closing fast
It's not only closed, it is getting nailed shut.... Does anybody think they can now hang w KC without a few major pieces of their defense?

I didn't think they could with the pieces.

The Chiefs were close with Alex Smith, we played Andy Reid in a SB decades ago with Donovan McNabb... the Dolphins, they were good back in the 70's.

Short answer... Mahomes (no QB) is winning a Super Bowl with a bottom ranked defense and offensive line. This isn't a superhero movie.

It's about time. Now they should release the other overrated S Micah Hyde as well.

Some of these Bills players are the most overrated in the NFL. The Bills suddenly became "good" when their Daddy's (Pats) dynasty ended.

Really? You’re surprised?

The team is $35 million over the cap. One guy is old, the other has had two knee surgeries.

I saw this coming.

Buffalo’s priority is resigning this guy, which we should target and drive his price up. DaQuan Jones is formidable and would work well with Barmore on stunts.

The interior Chiefs OL is the best in the nfl. Just saying.

Harty is a free agent? Yes sign the beast

Not everyday you see an all pro secondary get cut.

We disagree.

There is enough talent on Miami that Mahomes would make enough difference there.

Mahomes (like other great QBs in the past) makes your defense better.

Yeah, I meant if Mahomes was played with a middling to bottom talent offensive line and team.. he isn't winning a ring.

Lol! They had 3rd ranked scoring offense and 16th worst defense, their offensive line was soft and easy to push around.

Mahomes couldn't win without defense, we saw that in 2019 and why Andy Reid hired Steve Spagnuolo. This isn't singles tennis.

LOL couldn't win what?

He was a lost coin flip from going to the Super Bowl in his first season starting.

Mahomes team needed 3 yellow flags (Vegas) to get close winning that game and he lost as soon as his defense took the field because the Chief's D was ranked 28th worst in points allowed, 31st worst in yards allowed... and there are only 32 teams.

The very next season Reid hired Steve Spagnuolo to be his defensive coordinator, that wasn't a happy accident or coincidence.
