Given all the history of negligence on the OL and getting Burrow killed back there, got to assume Bengals are adamant they put him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life?

Got to love his quote. Someone want to point me to said development last year?

I am glad he is not here anymore because of the bad stink from last year
But they gave him **** to work with
So arguably worst OL in the league was his ceiling no matter what? Sometimes you just have to make chicken salad out of chicken ****. Not saying they should have been a top 5 unit, but there was no sign of development across the board there and Onwenu looked worse than ever in his NFL career, regardless of position swapping. Peters was a zero value add.

The line was bad quality wise and it also had no depth. This isn't a new thing with the Patriots. They've been trending down for years. The 2023 Patriots had the worst pass blocking line in the league.

It's a **** unit. Scar wouldn't make it acceptable with the guys here and the problems predate Peters.

I hear what your saying
I do not believe he is in any way an above average coach
I’ll judge him when he has something to work with that is stable
They had guards playing tackle. Tackles playing guard. Guards playing center.
And they all sucked.
Onwenu looked like he could not stay away from the buffet line
That’s all I know is I would not want to be him last year

Dude sucks right now. His first stint as chief OLC was a complete, total, and abject FAILure. But Bungles gotta bungle, so...

No matter the level of players you are given to coach your job is to make them better and get the most out of them. Nothing close to that happened last year with anyone on the OL.

Peter's is the Mayo of OL Coaches.

Keep it simple, Scott.

"Disgraced" LOL. A tad hyperbolic, perhaps? This is football, a game. Maybe if he'd sexually assaulted them, or denied them medical treatment, or similar.

Not sure I can comment on Peter's O line acumen, but it is difficult to build a cohesive group as there were at least 8 different line combinations used last year. David Andrews the leader of that group went down early and the Pats played a lot of players on the first string that would be back ups on other teams.
Do not agree with Peters as being "disgraced".. watching Vederian Lowe at LT is pretty much all I need to know. Eliot and his crew did a terrible injustice to this team by not signing quality O linemen on this team last year.

Regarding Peters departure.

The abilities of the Oline wasn't his fault. The stupid penalties, often times repeated several times in a game, suggest bad coaching of the Jerod "I can't help them once they cross the white line" Mayo variety.

Really hoping they let Lowe go he doesn't even belong on a Taxi squad. Yeah I think he's that bad: something stinks.

Frankly, I expected more from him. But the injuries were a killer.

I also lay some blame on the HC.

As for talent, you’re right. It’s not like he had Kenyatta Jones, Mike Compton, Joe Andruzzi, Matt Light and Damien Woody out there.

You think BB would have played a Guy who have three consecutive penalties in one game?? Mayo saw it differently.

Between the pre snap penalties and the hand fighting techniques that resulted in numerous ticky tacky holdings calls, I am happy to see the team replace Peters. While not fair to compare anyone to Scar, I can't see a situation where he would have tolerated that from "his" players, even if the HC was not competent.

They didn’t even know how to line up properly. That's entirely on him.
Among other things. Many of the holding penalties were from horrible technique. They were clutching and grabbing rather than drive blocking, or exhibiting good pass blocking technique.

Publicly stinking at your job qualities as disgraced.
