just listening to Dale and Holley, just before the Francoma interview, and they said Shefter twitted that Ben the Perv is available for a top ten pick.. someone before predicted Buffalo, if true hope he freezes his cajones off.. that would cure a few things..

Have you been to Pittsburgh in the winter?...not exactly Florida you know - its not like Ben was playing for the Jaguars or Dolphins...although I could see the Jags having interest

according to Schefter, one team is considering it. The top ten teams in the draft are: St. Louis, Detriot, TB, Wash, KC, Seattle, Clev, Oak, Buffalo and Jax. I cant see St Louis or TB giving up a top 3 pick. Wash, Det and KC have starting QB's. So that leaves Seattle, Clev, Oak, Buffalo or Jax. I hope its not Oakland as it may hurt the Pats pick next year. Even with a suspension for Roethlisburger. 10-12 games of him is better then 16 games of Jamarcus Russell.

With all the baggage Roethlisberger brings, I cant imagine someone giving up a top 10 picks.

first of, he's 28. and if you think this is no big deal then you have not been following the details of the case. Dragging and extremely intoxicated college student into a bathroom while his personal security stands guard. Exposing himself. Cuts, bruises, vaginal bleeding. Not to mention the facts that he has been accused of this on three seperate occasions.

With his win history, and age, he is worth a rd#1 pick.

With his personal history he is not. Especially a top 10 and staring the season on suspension. If anything, he gets traded for a pick next year.
Rooney posturing for a top 10 pick is smart though. Either, some dumb team gives it up, or they don't and Ben gets a message sent his way by the FO.
If a team pulls it off this year I see the seahawks doing it with their second rd 1 or #6 in rd #2 plus some orher picks (maybe a 2 next year).

My feeling?..... He stays in steel town for now.

I don't think any of us do. I hope that he goes to my backseat team (just because I lived there for a number of years and grew fond of them), the Jaguars. That would really give the Colts hell. If he goes to Buffalo, the AFC East should leapfrog the NFC East as the toughest division in football.

Rejuvenate the rivalry. I'd love to root directly against Ben 2x/yr. And then the jsts-bills-phins games would also be more interesting and difficult to determine rooting favs. Football is supposed to be entertaining. Having the Boreass Bills isn't.

Even with a talent as good as Ben is,No team is going to fork over a 1st rounder for a guy that won't be on his new team until week 7

Forget a first rounder with this suspension

Personally I think a trade with Ben will more likely happen in the offseason,McCoy could be on Pitt's radar
