The NFL will have four independent concussion specialists on hand for Super Bowl LII, the result of multiple changes to its protocol over the course of the 2017 season.

I guess the added two for the playoffs and now four for the SB.

Gotta keep up appearances!

NFL adds on-site concussion spotter for SB LII

Good luck with taking one of the QBS or Gronk out of the game due to a concussion. They will NEVER EVER do it.

The instruction has probably already gone out, "If you get hit high and feel wobbly grab your cramping leg and go down while simultaneously reaching for the shoulder on the side you got hit from." .

Brian Hoyer?!? Gawd I hope not.

They pulled Gronk from the AFCCG.

Another stupid move

God forbid someone play possibly the biggest game of their life, "injured"

Gronk laid on the field and was clearly shook. He should’ve been pulled, and was.

From a player safety/rule of law perspective something like the Edelman shot from SB49 is much more concerning. I think a spotter COULD flag that hit as something that should get a guy looked at, but it wasn’t. And shouldn’t be, because nobody wants these calls deciding games. Any shot to the head of a QB where he looks wobbly could be suspect. I can’t think of any on TB off the top of my head. But they let Cam play a couple weeks ago. Can’t imagine the conversation when one of these things is deemed to decide a game someday by removing a high level QB.

I'll just admit it. If Gronk gets concussed I still want him to finish the game.
