Without those 3 kicks AV would not have been selected to the All-Time team. May have eventually made the HOF due to his consistency and longevity but only 3 career Pro Bowls and an inability to kick off the last half of his career would have knocked him down from revered status.

Fact is he did make those kicks and I'll always be grateful but I can still look at it objectively and realize he was both fortunate to be given a chance at those moments and obviously clutch enough to come through.

He doesn't bother me any more than any other player who leaves for greener pastures.

Bill always gushes over players (he should) and if he's over AV it's because he replaced him with a longer, more accurate kicker.

Considering the circumstances, Vinatieri's FG against Oakland was the greatest ever. I wonder if there were any Raiders who didn't give it their all, thinking that the kick had no chance. That would be great.
