Moss is an afterthought in New England.

Think about it for a minute. If we wanted Moss on our team so bad, we wouldn't have traded him in the first place.

We didn't trade him for the compensation. We traded him because he was becoming a problem. There were reports from credible sources that we wouldve flat out released him ourselves if we werent able to get a trade done for him.

What makes you think we're just going to welcome him back on the team after a few weeks? Obviously we can win without him, and as far as attitude and being a team player goes he's only gotten worse since he left New England.

I know alot of people here love Moss. But it's not going to happen even if he slips through the waivers into Free Agency. We're not picking him up.

We traded him b/c he didn't want to be here. He now wants to be here. That is a huge difference. And this has been discussed ad nauseum in other threads. Your particular thoughts are not worthy of a separate thread.

Re: Patriots will not take Moss back

i think you're wrong. i truly believe if he really sits and talks with BB man to man and confesses that he has changed and he realized he made a mistake and we ONLY have to pay him minimum? ... why wouldnt we?

Re: Patriots will not take Moss back

I agree with the above replies, if there is no official statement then no need for this topic.

Re: Patriots will not take Moss back

Thread title should be "OPINION: Patriots will not take Moss back". Because in my opinion, they absolutely would if he were available.

Na, I asked Bill, he said "HA! No way!"
true story!

Re: Patriots will not take Moss back

Why did you make a separate thread for this? lol Could this not have gone in the million other active Moss threads we have going on? A mod should merge this with an already existing Moss thread.

There's a thread with a story from SI saying the Titans have put in a claim.

Accordingly, the speculation can stop. It's over. There is no chance now that Moss can come back to New England, except as an FA next year.

Agree +100

Some folks get major wood starting redundant self-advt threads

lol What are you talking about Titans own the 22nd spot. There are 4 teams that have higher claims than they do, and nothing is confirmed at all yet. It is far from over.

I think they would take him back if they could monitor his medication schedule, hes bat$hit crazy without it

LMAO.....as my last response to this thread, I will leave with a lul.

IMO The Pats don't want him back....The Pats usually go forward not back

How many players came back to the Pats after they released or cut/traded them?

Banta-Cain is a rare exception,Deion Branch this year

There is no possible way Randy Moss could come to the Patriots this year, assuming the SI story is correct. The Titans have a better claim position. He might not end up on the Titans -- he might end up on a team lower. But for purposes of this thread, there is nothing left to speculate.

Which part of my post doesn't make sense to you?

lol Branch JUST came back, it's funny how fast people forget. Does ANYONE remember the countless threads and posts saying "BB has never brought in people mid season, Branch is NOT coming back to NE, this season anyway" Then what happened? Oh yeah

So considering it is the ONLY story, no other sources have confirmed anything. You stated it's over that the Titans put in a claim based on 1 article, personally I never speculate based on 1 source. I'm not saying your wrong just saying that I like a cornfield of sources that provide the same information rather than just 1 person.

ok, THIS is my last response in this thread. lol

One of the posters here brought up a very interesting and realistic possibility to why Randy Moss was traded, and I for one, believe that it is very possible....

"What if the Vikings contacted the Patriots and asked about Randy Moss's availability....and Belichick asked Randy what he wanted to do...and Randy took the offer to go to the Vikings?"

If this was the case...and Randy left the Patriots thinking that he could go to a legitimate contender with a chance to get a multi-year contract in the off season....

Then absolutely, I think Moss would come back and play out the year in New England...and the Patriots would gladly take him back.

A sensible position. We'll know officially when the league releases the information. But the Titans story is from CNN/SI, so it's much better than your average source.

Deion Branch, Shawn Crable, David Patten (even though he retired in TC) Thomas Clayton, Sergio Brown, Ross Ventrone, Tyrone McKenzie, Quinn Ojinnaka are all examples just from this year. Rosevelt Colvin, Chad Brown, and Ken Walter are a few more examples of guys that have returned for another tour of duty with the Pats in past seasons.

And thats not counting the players that would come back in heart beat if the opportunity was there!!
