Seriously, do we have to put up with this sky-is-falling cr*p every single year?

I'm willing to go on record as saying the Pats will turn things around. If they don't, those of you who think they're doomed can feel free to mock me all you want--just as I'll feel free to do the same when this team gels.

too early to say but anyone thought the pats would go undefeated ?? i wouldve been pissed if they lost a close game or gave a lead...this was just bad football all around at key situations...

I don't think we have anywhere to go but up from here. No running game, no passing game, no special team play, decent defense...

We couldn't do worse than tonight, right?

... Right?

I have no doubt the Pats will get better. There's no way they play like this for the remainder of their 13 games. The questions are how much better will they be, and whether or not they will be good enough to get the back to the Super Bowl.

BB teams always play better as the seasons gets colder. This year, we also have a bunch of new people who need to learn to play together: Brady and his new receivers, primarily, but also the 8 rookie draft picks on the team. This will take time. This team is a work in progress - it will definitely be better by the time the snow flies.

I'm on the record for: "NO. The Pats WILL Get better." Because its true.

Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. After the Colts kicked the crap out of the Pats on Monday Night last year I thought this team was done! They proved me wrong. It's a new year and the Pats have new WR problems that could have been taken care of in the offseason but the Patriots executives choose to get Reche Caldwell and let go Deion Branch, David Givens, Andre Davis, Tim Dwight and David Patten the year before. The Pats may improve or this may be the rebuilding year. Time will tell.

I'd like to vote we're dooooooomed again, but I don't want to ditch my cookies.

I hope I can at least convince some of the 3 year olds posting tonight so they'll go away.

Looks like those exciting Colts have a bead on that 1st half championship again!!!

Maybe you need to drop the "tightness" logo under Chad's picture.

I think it's affecting his hamstring.

IMO they will get better. Were they outplayed last night? Absolutely. Do we have a great collection of character vets and young talent? Absolutely. Give it time, Brady/BB/Tedy/Sey/Rodney, will get it together. We will most likely win the division, and if we can minimize our injuries this year, we'll have a stronger team going into the post season than we did last year.

Oh we're doomed. Don't fool yourselves, we're going nowhere, quick.

Now, please proceed calmly, quietly, and in an orderly fashion to the two exits at the rear of the bandwagon. Please watch your step.

No. The Pats WILL get better. Because they have to.

TB and the WRs will become more comfortable with each other. The secondary worries me though. We're far from doomed but we're a long way from going back to the SB.

The Pats are just not as good as they were. Why is that such a bad thing? We can't point out the fact that their D is not deep? That their defensive backs have key breakdowns in every game? That the 3rd down conversions continue to be a problem!! Maybe they turn it around. Maybe the adulterer can coach these guys up and make them better. Maybe Tom Brady can stop pouting long enough to make some key plays! Maybe a WR will actually get healthy! The Pats are good. They're just not GREAT anymore.

You are right. We are just so friggin doomed.

And, those who stay on the bandwagon are risking a major injury when it crashes into the manure train coming.

All you nebies who jumped on during the great run, save yourself now. It's too late for us old farts.

Honestly, right now the only reason I still feel confident in this team is its track record and "on-paper" personnel. That's a very strong reason though, which leaves me highly confident this team will be really good.

The track record from the past few years tells me that a Belichick/Brady led team will be well prepared, work hard, and not give up. The team will also get better as the season goes on, as evidenced from past years. The personnel is good enough to not get in the way of this.

Unless the few key people get hurt, we'll make the playoffs. From there, too early to tell.

I case you were wondering, I'm firmly in the "Maybe" camp.
