OK Patfans, You know to Root for Green Bay Tonight!

Startling fact:

After tonight, the last two games I'll've watched will've had me ~ and just about everybody here, I expect? ~ rooting for the Packers.

I understand all the hubbub, but I still gotta root for the Saints tonight. They remind me too much of the Patriots through the years, and I've always liked New Orleans (the city) anyway.

Go Saints!

Refresh my memory, how did we get the saints 1st rounder?

We gave them #28 in 2011 (they took Mark Ingram).

They gave us #56 in 2011 (we took Shane Vereen) + their 2012 1st.

I know logic says that we have the Saint's first rounder, but in the larger picture I'd much rather face NO than GB in the super bowl! Here's to keeping them out of the play offs, but I suppose I can live with either outcome : )

SAINTS..i had two teams with CBS..$100 per team..i need Brees to have a huge year

That's good, because you're FAR more likely to.

The Saints will more than likely be a 10+ win team. That pick is going to be in the 20's probably closer to the 30's. I'm not concerned with the draft position but more with watching great football.

Sorry pherein, but you'd do the same for a 1st round pick

There is a DISTINCT possibility that we draw #31, #32, and #33, this year!!

MIND you: I'm not saying the Saints win TONIGHT!! :singing:

Seriously: There was and is much reason to like Green Bay's chances far more tonight, than over the course of the season.

Wish we could have struck that trade with a non playoff team! Anyways yes I'm sorry pherein I love you bro but I have to root against NO this year.

Good man.

And even I'M not THAT greedy!!

#56 and a 1st Rounder is PLENTY for #28, Bro!! We RAKED them!! :rocker:

Definitely, both are likely to be playoff squads but I think NO has the easier division this year. The NFC North is going to be rough and I think the Vikings and Lions will majorly improve their records over last year. GB should get a wildcard at least, but I want them out.

Oh yeah we definitely got a great deal regardless. I personally never understood the concept of this year's #1 meaning so much more than next years. IMO we basically got a 2nd rounder in the last draft for free.

I just wondered why one of the lesser teams didn't bite on the same deal, they would've sacrificed a higher 2nd rounder I guess but still.

Looks like most of us (incl. me) will get their wish tonight.

Rodgers is a machine out there. He's like Brady, but with legs.

If someone gave you a choice of collecting $1000 right now or $1000 next year, which would be more valuable to you? It's the same principle.

The depends on the interest I would collect for waiting the year. In draft value chart "dollars," even assuming the Saints draft late, the Pats collected at least 50% interest in the form of a 2nd round pick. At those terms, it's a no-brainer.
