Will somebody please explain to my incalculably asinine @$$ what Sherman's 2-4 bit was about???

Revis's number. Baldwin beat him on the crossing pattern. With quite a bit of help from the ref. They have an ongoing tet a tet about whom is the best CB in the NFL.

He was reminding everyone that 2-4 (Revis) gave up the TD, supposedly showing Sherman was better.

He was making fun of Revis (24) giving up a touchdown.

The most asinine thing about it was that Revis was utterly picked by the ref. Not a thing that could have been done in that situation by Revis.

On the plus side, I love the karma of it now being one of the game highlights.

The popular assumption is that he was choosing to focus on the issue of who the best cornerback is by highlighting the fact that it was Revis who was covering the guy who caught the ball.

Ah!! Thank ye kindly, Gents!!

I honestly think he was pointing out the score. The fact that Revis has the same Jersey number and was the one who Baldwin caught the TD on was pure coincidence. He made the gesture then pointed towards the scoreboard.

37 completions (SB record) 328 yards passing and 4td passes vs the Legion on Boom. Suck on that Sherman

Those were also their 24th points, which maybe also had something to do with it. But I agree that he was primarily trying to s*&talk a guy on the opposing D, whom he never will face off against 1 on 1.

Yeah, I thought it was about the score too. Still I've got a signal for him. 4-1. Think about that Sherman as you rehab your elbow.

I think this goes under the category of "nice thought with good intentions but probably naive."

The Legion of Boom ...exploded giving up 4 TD's...2 in the final quarter....

Pats decimated their secondary......

That's what the announcers said (in reference to Revis), but it seems more likely he was signaling 24 points.

Nah, it was about Revis. He did the "2-4" and then said/signaled "touchdown." He's been trash-talking himself as better than Revis for quite some time.

I thought he was signaling 42 because he's a big fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

And the fact that he allowed himself to be distracted like that, and to be that self-focused, is emblematic of what was happening on the Seattle sideline at that point, and for the next few minutes, which is one reason the Patriots are the better team. You simply can not be self focused like that and simultaneously team focused. Our coach won't allow it, their coach encourages it.
