They have the worst WR room in the NFL. Incremental progress is ok. Don't let perfection get in the way of progress. And also, to your list, Kupp and Godwin aren't #1s anymore either. Aiyuk is, though decent chance he's not a great #1 next year as he recovers from injury as it's typical for guys to take a year to get up to speed. Not Meyers he is not a number 1, Aiyuk, Kupp, Godwin or a trade.
So pissed Seattle isn’t trading DK and Bengals are trying to keep Burrow happy who has a really punchable face.
I wouldn't take Aiyuk now. His knee is mush AND we 'd have to pay him. And I'm certainly not giving up a 1st Round Pick for him. I'd rather address defense, hopefully build a better OL, draft Hunter, or Warren at #4, Higgins in the 2nd Round, a Couple of solid RB's, and go from there. Not Meyers he is not a number 1, Aiyuk, Kupp, Godwin or a trade.

Not sure who this guy is.
Are you kidding you must be a 49er fan to suggest this.... Pleaseeeee unless you were suggesting a 4th round pick.4th for Aiyuk,
I would roll the dice.
Wouldn’t stop me from drafting Hunter at 4 if he’s there or Golden in the late first if we trade down.
We have to get someone. FA hasn’t started yet and the draft is a ways out but ATM we’re going to have the same ragtag WR corps we suffered with last year.In 2021, Godwin tore his ACL. The next year he came back and had 1K yards, but on under 10 yards per reception. Not great for a WR. In 2023 and the first half of 2024 (until most recent injury) he was back to normal. That's pretty typical for WRs suffering serious injuries to take a year to get up to full speed again.
This year he'll be coming off a dislocated ankle. I think it'd be a huge upset if he didn't repeat the typical timeline (and the one he himself previously went through) of taking a year to get back up to speed. All indications are that Godwin will be a shell of his normal self next year. The smart money is on him being a possession slot receiver lacking any sort of explosion. And then when he does shake the rust off by 2026, he'll be 30 years old where decline could be setting in anyway.
I just can't get behind signing him at all. I just can't follow why he'd be a top target for us.
He said 4th for Aiyuk and then followed up with that it wouldn't stop him from drafting Hunter at 4, so I think he clearly meant 4th rounder for Aiyuk otherwise we wouldn't be talking about Hunter at #4Are you kidding you must be a 49er fan to suggest this.... Sure but my point is that for 2025, I expect Godwin will be a ragtag caliber of WR himself. That's what his personal history recovering from injuries and overall history at that position says.We have to get someone.
