Well that sucks. I really wanted him.

$1,000,000,000,000,000 in cap space with nobody to spend it on. Not sure how the Pats get out of this rut aside from several home run drafts in a row, and my confidence in that happening with Wolf/Groh still employed in critical roles couldn't be much lower.

The cap is crap.
Teams that want to resign their own players can do if they want
Can not depend on FA to solve problems

Man. Really bad year to have a ton of cap.

Almost want them to push a bunch into next year vs spending on trash players just to spend.

Alaric Jackson just signed a 3 Year Extension with the Rams. There's my 1st choice for FA LT off of the board. This means that it's more likely than ever that they take Campbell at #4, or trade down and take Campbell at wherever. Our options are even more limited regarding the Draft now. This sucks!

I think they should just go get the best players they can. They have so many needs that they can’t go wrong by signing really good players. They should be able to address defensive front 7 with guys like Baun and B. j. Hill. Target players on teams with cap issues, like the Bengals. .

Let's hope the Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley wants a payday.
He's resigning with the Ravens. Even then, we'll still need to obtain a solid replacement for him in no more than 3 years if we're lucky. And that's if he stays healthy.

I don't understand why Jackson would sign a 3 year deal to play for a team that's shopping it's starting QB (and with no serious QB in the pipeline), and possibly be a FA when he's 29/30, when he could have gotten a 5 year deal from the Patriots and protect the blindside of a young and probable Franchise QB.

Haven’t you heard, no one wants to play for the Patriots because of the Mass millionaires tax, so they’ll play in California instead.
