Cam Robinson or they will draft Campbell
I think it is a less risk to have a short armed Campbell than a RT hoping to be able to make the transition to LT
If we sign Roninson then we can go for Membou or (Simmons with a trade down)
Since Simmons could use a year to recover and get in shape

C'mon.....test the market, ya fools!

That’s a huge kick in the nuts. Now they have to take Membou at 4.
Don’t want the risk he can play the Left side.
They say it is not easy making the switch. Like learning to dribble with your left hand
I think they will go Campbell at least knowing he can play the position
Either way they are both a risk
Worst case we get a good LG or RT

Extremely frustrating. He very likely would’ve been offered much more money than that, at least by the Pats. I can only assume him staying in Baltimore was more important to him than maximizing his earning potential.
Might be content being knocked out of the playoffs in Wildcard Round every season.

This is normal every year in free agency, this is why you don't let Thuney type players leave. It will be fine, Commanders proved you don't need the top of the free agent market to turn it around and compete for playoffs.

Exciting next couple month as the Pats start to build the team for 2025.

Bummer. He could've easily doubled his $ but you know what they say...

This is why I never understand the people who obsess over this massive cap space we have. Nearly every year the cap goes up and allows most teams to easily resign their top players and/or a couple restructures and their back in business.

Vrabel is going to have to vastly overpay for mediocre players which will only marginally make us more competitive.

Belichick’s drafting seriously has doomed this team for years and Eliot Wolf just continued the ****ups…

It’s a blow to what we’re all going to think of the team on paper heading into 2025, but I don’t think we’re going to look back with much regret on not getting to sign Stanley. Unless his durability in his 30s is better than it was in his 20s he’d have been a bad signing that ends up with us starting a backup caliber LT again like we have been the last few years a good deal of the time. Blessing in disguise, IMO.

Hoping TB spends to keep Godwin next to save us from ourselves there too.

Never should have been expected to land him. Always was an uphill battle to get him to leave Baltimore.

Tackle is gonna have to get resolved in the draft guys. I know the tackles are repulsive to some of you.
Would love a franchise LT. This draft doesn't have any, hate the idea of a taking a mediocre LT prospect out of desperation

If we sign Robinson, it could at least give us a chance to wait until round 2/3 to take a tackle.

Maybe roll with Tyron Smith for a year? Still played solid individually for the Jets last year.

This season is experimentation season. Get cam Robinson or Moore as stop gap and conerly Jr and late round OT as developmental tackle. See which of the 5 tackles will stick for next year - Robinson / Moore; Lowe, wallace ; conerly Jr. 6th round high ceiling OT . Keep another 2 in practice squad and spend over an extra million dollars or 2 exclusively on OT nutition, conditioning , training etc. If we find an rookie OT who will start next year reward every freaking strength trainer, coach, scout with a jumbo sizes performance bonus. Outside of this ibses no way of landing an OT .

He’s 20 years old and an excellent athlete, I have no concerns about him playing left tackle.

The quality at LT drops off a cliff after Conerly, late first round.

I respect that
I do have concerns
If he was elite as he is being portrayed.
Then why didn’t the coaching staff at Missouri switch him to LT. I hear about a transfer portal kid always played the left side. If this kid was elite they would have made the switch. You want the best player on the blind side

He’s only 20, I doubt most college teams are putting 19-20 year olds at LT. And I don’t understand the need to be cautious. The Patriots are one of the worst team’s in football, they need prospects with high upsides, not the safest picks. If he doesn’t pan out at LT then either draft one or try to get one in free agency next year. It’s not like it’s going to cost them a trip to the Super Bowl. They should be going for the upside with all of their draft picks, not high floors. This is a really high ceiling prospect, and he’s going to be a tackle in the NFL, not a guard.
