I remember AJ said when we signed Brissett that we signed a QB worse than Mac Jones. The Book is already out on Brissett he's a very limited QB who hinders his Team the stars have to be aligned for him to get a win.
The 3rd and 1 he took a sac on after gibby had that big run. Was another reason I can't wait for Maye day... does maye take a sack?

Brissett is horrible for the development of the young WRs. He refuses to get the ball out quick for Douglas or throw downfield. Maye needs to get in there by week 5.
I'm not sure if you're vision-impaired or aren't watching the game. There is literally no time for him to do either of those things, or they would be doing those things. They can't throw because they *can't* throw, because 3/5 of the line shouldn't be in the NFL.

No. Know why? AVP calls a run if it's Maye.

There are some guys working at home depot that should be in the NFL.. and some guys in the NFL that should be at home depot.

I agree. My comments were basically on the porous play of the line. It's just frustrating becuase it's limiting the AVP play calling. However all in all we have a win. Baltimore, Bengals play off teams with elite QBs are win less. SF lost to sam darnold.
IF we had a better QB yesterday it would have been a win. That said our overrated Defense didn't help much.

Bingo! Brissett should have throw it away rather than take a 9 yard loss..
I honestly don't think he had time to get it away without taking a grounding penalty. It's easy to say 'just get rid of it', but I don't know if he actually could.

The bigger point is, they should have run the ball. Just like they should have instead of punting in overtime.

On the defense.. 3 sacks relentless pressure on Smith all day.. we went up against 3 #1 caliber WRs.. remember we are without Barmore, Bentley went down.. gino Smith work was all in the middle of the field. 2 ******** PI plays allowed Seattle to score. Defense wasn't an issue.. it's the O line and limited QB...

************ himself wouldn't have thrown for 200 yards behind that line.

Reiss was just on Toucher and Hardy- said he watched the all 22 and receivers got no separation. No surprise that was obvious just watching the game…

So- right now Wolf looks like a disaster. O line we have a much of guards and no tackles. WR there is still time for Polk and Baker but Polk looks slow and Baker can’t get on the field.

AVP- again still time- BUT where are the man beaters that Josh excelled at? Play action should def be there especially against zone. Even in 3rd down.

Next week should’ve interesting.

Yeah.. we have an elite ground game.. top 5 in the NFL.. I don't Know if Brissett checked out if it or what...

I’m fairly confident he already knows how to do that…. That’s one of his biggest strengths
He looked pretty good moving in the pocket during his few preseason plays.

No shot. That was all sorts of ******** orbit motion and nonsense, and then had everyone run 2 yard stick routes. That was absolutely a called play, no way you check into that from a run.

Gonzo and Duggar did not know how to switch and gave up an easy touchdown. Neither is a rookie. Bad preparation.

Multiple penalites that could be avoided.

Lots of contain defense. Very little pressure on Geno Smith. Again that is the defensive game plan. Way too conservative - no exotic blitzes. Managed the game into a loss. The defense has a lot of veterans so complex early season game plans should be possible.

Conservative defense led to the field goal right before halftime that could have been avoided.

Pass play on 3rd and 2 or 3 around the 20, and Brissett dropped back to pass and gets sacked. We missed the fieldgoal. Mayo could have discussed the play like we are used to seeing on the Pats sideline.
Fair enough, I suppose, though most of these issues, I think, are more attributable to the assistant coaches - OC and DC - or to the players than to Mayo personally. Mayo himself said he takes responsibility, so I guess he would agree with you. As for me, I saw nothing really egregious: just the predictable quibbles and second guesses one might levy at any HC in a losing effort. If such issues persist, I might come over to your side, but not yet.

Poor situationual football but sometimes you have to lose to win. I have given up on V Lowe he can't block anyone remotely good. I hope that they go with C Wallace @ LT from now on he can't be any worse. That said AVP needs to get a little more creative knowing the situation. If we don't brush it up Good Teams will always beat us in the end. I felt like we wasn't going to win yesterday the Seahawks had us on our heels all day.

Can't understand why we didn't just stick with was was working..

I mean - no, of course there was no separation. You have less than 2 seconds to throw on every single pass play - there's no time for Usain Bolt to separate.

Man beaters, zone beaters, slot option routes, hell, even bubble screens at this point, are nearly impossible to throw when you are pressured immediately on every single drop back. You can't run play action. You can't take deep shots. Hell, you can't even run screens. You can get running backs sprinting out on arrow routes, or having Hunter Henry watching the QB, and not running actual routes, to get open when Brissett breaks the pocket. That's your passing game right now. And it's not going to get fixed unless they manage to pull off a trade.

That Mcdonald Seattle defense is stout. They will make some noise in the NFC they are legit. They have basically 3 #1 WRs.. and a great back in walker. Definitely agree. Lowe should just be a back up.. let the young guys play and go through the motions.. I watched Michael Jordan bump into another lineman.
Was like watching Benny hill show.
