Yeah, he had worked on throwing around guys near the line of scrimmage. But downfield throws, you would think he'd still have his arm up higher. Can't seem to get much on them compared to last year.
If the Pats are going to ride Zappe, they have to do what Patricia did for Zappe and dumb down the offense to the point he doesn't have to think. When Zappe went in last year, they took the Pats offense that was overly simplified to begin with and made it simplier. That is the only way he is going to get anything with him. That is why they were successful on his first drive.
Jimmy G looks cooked, but he’s better than these 2 guys and will likely be a free agent next year and come as cheaply as a QB can be. Let him compete against a draft pick.
