IMO, The difference between XL and XXXVIII was sloppy play versus solid defense. Pitt and Seattle are both playing mediocre ball so far.

Hopin' for a better 2nd half.
if i remember correctly we missed 2 field goals and moved the ball easily and delhomme was minus yards passing. iam not comparing this game play by play or ref calls..just that someone called it boring.its the same.

The Stones sure beat the garbage acts they had last year. I found last year's halftime show unwatchable.

OMG. what WAS last year's show?

Oh, right, Paul McCartney. Personally, I thought the show the year before...the Boob Show... was just awful. I wasn't offended by Janet at all....it was all that stupid Kid Rock crap that preceded it that made it just utterly unbearable.

Nothing will ever beat the U2 halftime show for the Pats/Rams. I'll have to accept that.

I was inclined to agree with you....but to see Jagger and Richards BRINGING it on here tonight at the age of 65 or something.....with all the running around and rocking that they always have done....is somewhat inspirational......In a way like Ozzie (although he may have lip synched) doing crazy train to begin the season...........these guys doing this crap still after all the drugs and years.....amazing......either that or I have had too many sam adams'!!!!

It is amazing, and if you go to one of their current concerts, you can see them do it for 2 to 2.5 hours. Yeah they have more slow songs than in the past, but the energy level and the music is amazing.

Pats-Panthers had good 2nd and 4th quarters.

I know one thing . . . the Patriots are better than either of these two teams.
not comparing who is better. just the game went its similar. we had 2 missed field goals.delhomme was struggling until late second quarter.

Last years fantastic with Paul McCartney. Very very well done. This year isn't bad at all just Mick looks a little scary.

Ooops, I may have got the year wrong. I thought LAST year was the Janet Jackson one. THAT show was horrid. I like Paul McCartney.

I have a feeling that after all the chances Seattle had in the first half that they failed to take advantage of that they are in for a long second half.

Pitt get the ball first. If they score a TD you can turn out the lights.

Okay, that makes more sense...LOL. Sir Paul was OK, I have to admit I wasn't paying too much attention...but you and I agree...the Janet Show was just so bad it singlehandedly changed halftime shows forever.

I see where you're coming from. I personally love great defensive struggles, fighting for the extra yard, going for it on 4th down. The Pats/Panthers had that, especially for most of the 1st half. The difference is Pitt/Seattle both seem to be playing poorly, real sloppy, not very good defense or offense. So I agree with you there, it's tough to watch.

Paul McCartney, Mr. Bland ? Ick. I didn't watch it.

I agree the U2 one was phenominal, but this one was good too. Yes Mick is scary looking, I think they all are. Its like they have been embalmed from the inside out. But their music still rules. McCartney's is a snoozer.

Whoever is ahead when time runs out is going to make one mediocre champion.

All of these spots showing Cowher et al handling the Lombardi is just wrong. BB refused to even touch the Lombardi before the game.

It's kind of like while you're away your teenage son invites his friends over and after they run out of Ripple, they drink all of your 50 year old wine.

i think every person is different so cant say much about that.

Do we really need to see anymore of Fat Bettis? The guy is a short yardage back and honeslty has struggled mightly even in that limited role in the playoffs. There are probably 50 guys playing today more important to the outcome.

If you google Mike Holmgren coaching tree...

"While Holmgren's coaching tree has provided head coaches like Jon Gruden, Mike Sherman, Steve Mariucci and Andy Reid..."

That was the most embarrassing final minute of a half SB drive I have ever seen. Hasselbeck turned into Peyton Manning too....

And if this is the best of the best of NFL officiating, the CBA is the least of the NFL's worries.

Does that Holmgren halftime quote mean Hasselback was overriding what Holmgren was calling or Holmgren changed the call twice at the LOS? Clusterf*ck either way.

game over IMHO

Oh God... It's so going to really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really suck being a football fan for the next 20 years.

Lord give me strength.

Bad, real bad defensive call on that Pitt TD...what were they thinking playing everyone on the line...they took the bait from the 3-step pass on 1st down and tried to screw up the timing.....worked real good for Pitt LOL.

If Seattle can answer that TD with one of their own here, they could be on their way. They outplayed Pittsburgh in the 1st half.

Dude, the Seahawks have just taken an especially large shotgun and just pointed it at their feet.
