That's my point. The trade deadline is the time of the year where you typically overpay.

Even the bad teams don't want to give up good players just to see other teams use them successfully. That's something a GM knows a fan base will hold against them for a long time.

On the other side, the acquiring GM has their fan base banging on them to do something to 'not miss our opportunity' but those same fans will be *****ing and moaning next spring when the draft comes around and you gave up your 2nd for Mo Sanu.

For instance, da Jete are 1-7 and they know they will not be re-signing Breece Hall in the off season, but do you think the Jete GM will let him go for a late round pick to the Patriots? No bleeping way, IMO. It'd have to be a Mo Sanu situation where we give a 2nd to get back a guy who has a 'questionable' injury tag on him this week, and I think/hope we're smart enough to not do that.

Running backs are the best value in free agency, you can get a great RB for less than a mediocre receiver. If the Patriots want Breece Hall they can get him in free agency without giving up a good draft pick.

You make a compelling case here Rain... the only reason I say spilt.. is because going into the season I was optimistic we could challenge Buffalo. This teams done far more than challenge the division leader and 2nd seed in the AFC is just remarkable from where this team was. A season ago.

The defensive line is the strength of tje our Defense as you perfectly mentioned they stifle teams running games. The equalizer here is Josh Allen and those Tight ends... I expect he and his TEs to feast on our LBs like every other team does.

But as you mentioned the offense for the Patriots is much better than when we saw Buffalo in Buffalo.
Nothing is guaranteed and it's going to be a tough game. I hope it's moved to primetime.

I hope not. Every hour counts for recovery with a TNF game to follow.

And I expect he would be motivated to pay back the Rats.

This might give the Pats an edge in signing him as opposed to say, the Chiefs.

Absolutely; they were already at the 50 on 1st down, plenty of time to run a couple of plays in the middle of the field if they wanted to do so.
They realistically should have even never been in that situation to begin with.

This game was on the cusp of a blowout before halftime... just like the steelers game.. when you let teams hang around and commit TOs. You end up in dog fights. But then again after the run they have been on you need games like this to keep you sharp going forward.. Vrabel said perfectly you want to learn in winning rather learning from losing.

Agreed. Health and availability is vital. What will be important also is what's the fastest way to secure a berth?
10 wins gets you in.
Of course winning the division and possible conference is still in play.
The NFL is a grueling league and will always be able survival of the fittest.

Remember that 2015 season? Started off 10-0.. faded down the stretch.. loss Gronk and some other key guys that season.

If you went into the season expecting us to beat them at home and lose to them on the road, why would beating them in Buffalo make you think we will now lose at home? You should be more optimistic, not less.

I should be your right. But I'm trying to balance my expectations. I'm trying to not let 7-2 make me feel as though we are immune to a loss from a good team. However if they beat Buffalo again then it's awesome. We absolutely with certainty will likely win the division and host a home playoff game.

If Henry goes up to try and catch it then he is getting lit up. Terrible decision into triple coverage, Maye has the ability to make those throws but was still a questionable throw.
He would have been open. We want to hit that seam throw every time it’s there. It’s a staple of the scheme.

It's effective because we typically hold teams in the red zone and stop the run.. we have a dam good defense by all means.. most I'd imagine would like to see ( I'm nit picking here) some more man coverage to challenge teams WRs on the outside. The zone coverages seem to have to do more with the secondary than guys up front.. as we run a one gap system. We just have one of the best D lines in the league... Barmore, milt and Tonga that stop the run game. Add in farmer as well.
We have not held teams in the red zone, we are at the bottom in red zone d

Yeah I don’t like that thinking. We are playing great so let’s predict a loss to not feel greedy. Fans should be greedy imo
