My eyes told me that Godchaux made a great play on that 2nd down run during the Giants’ first series, overpowering the O-lineman and stuffing Booker but that can’t be right because Captain Stone assured me that he isn’t stout against the run. Zo also said that Dugger is “all over the field”. but the Captain also told me that he was a missed 2nd round pick.
As the saying goes….who are you going to believe, Captain Stone or your lying eyes?
Seems to me that the Pats are playing relatively vanilla, while Giants are being more exotic (the end around, read action, the pick). Not sure if I’d be showing that stuff in the preseason if I were the Giants.
On a good note for the Giants, their offense looks in midseason form. Back to back drives with no turnovers. They are ahead of schedule. Add in a few 1st downs too and they're cookin'!
