He is cheap. And it started with Curtis Martin who they low balled before he became a FA. Martin said he was low balled because Kraft thought he was injury prone and had too much mileage. That guy should’ve never entered FA.

Over the years, the roster has been filled with mid level FA’s because they rarely pay their own guys top level money. We always heard about the “hometown discount” nonsense. Freaking Seymour had to hold out to get a 2nd contract.
Ty law should of never wore another jersey.

Problem is in this new NFL you can’t win anything with just Adequate QB play.
You can't win in this new NFL with just an adequate QB and inadequate personnel around him. If you're not going to surround him with talent, then you move on to the next guy.

As I said before, that's mis-allocating funds (in this case, spending too much on second/third-tier players and not spending enough on top-tier players), not "being cheap." He's not taking salary cap dollars and sticking them in his pocket.

There's lots more. That's the problem.

Let us say that we ALL agree that Mac will be dumped for anything we can get once the season is over, then what? Does getting rid of Mac make us a contender?

No. However 3 years is enough to know we can't waste another season on Mac.

Time to clean house upstairs and on the field.

I don’t recall why he was put on a permanent timeout in 2001?

He and Brady had a game against San Diego.
He had a hamstring injury and a reporter asked him when he would be ready to get back on the field and he said something along the lines of it would get better once he was paid.

Mac was definitely... better today than the prior two weeks, but the screw ups were still there (one bad INT, nearly a second one), and it ultimately wasn't enough to matter against a bad Raiders team and freaking Brian Hoyer. I still see no reason to keep starting him. If they're gonna lose, you may as well lose developing players you think you'll keep long term.
Start lining up anybody that will trade a gatorade jug for Corky Mac.

So then he was traded to Greenday I believe for a third or fourth rounder.

There's no chance of Belichick doing that until they're eliminated from playoff contention, and maybe not even then (see 2020).

That much is obvious. But many fans will put their head in the sand and act like it's a 1 man fix
The Pat's defense kept Corky and his bumbling offense in the game.

Can't blame the Pats RBs and TEs this week.

Good Riddance
I felt that way at the time.
But Bill is the highest paid coach GM/ if he was being underpaid he would ask to be paid as well. Maybe not that way but you better believe he would speak up to Kraft if he felt underpaid.
Bill did a great job of brainwashing us to feel our players don’t need to be paid market value and are selfish or me Fist when they want what they have earned.
Think about that once.
