Can't be the worst when the Pats ran 139yds for 5.1 YPC. Plus only 1 sack allowed. Did I add enough sugar to make a sh%t milkshake taste good?Bedard said tonight was one of the worst OL performances he’s seen in twenty years. Gotta agree with him there. Wow
Mayo can't win without an OL.I’m beginning to realize this may be thr worst Patriots team I’ve ever seen since I became a fan in 1992. And they might win fewer games than the 2 that team did.
But…the year after that, Parcells came in and brought hope.
The real question is…if the team wins 2 or fewer games, will Kraft stand behind Mayo and Wolf, or will they be the sacrificial buffer hires between Bill and the guys who will actually lead the team next?
How many games lost would you say Mayo has to go after one season?
Or is there no circumstance that happens?
Look…the O line is horrific.
I can live with an awful season IF Maye develops, doesn’t get killed, and the team improves over the year.
But if it doesn’t look very different in December, not sure I’d like to see year two of this regime.
Just a reminder that at OL, two of the top five players in FA were Trent Brown and Onwenu.1. Milton is not an NFL QB! TE maybe
2. Zappe is done
3. Pats should consider signing Mike White
4. There are no fixes for this OL during the season, Wolfe blew it in FA by not getting an anchor for the line
And two other ex-patriots were in the top 10.Just a reminder that at OL, two of the top five players in FA were Trent Brown and Onwenu.
$$$$ sometimes matter to UFAsAnd two other ex-patriots were in the top 10.
There is little reason to believe that our 4-10 team with no QB could have done much better.
We were competing with a lot of teams for OL's.$$$$ sometimes matter to UFAs
Also something called the draft where perhaps at the top of the 2nd round an OL should be drafted?
I can't say anything about how the Patriots had OTs graded, but I can say that after Tyler Guyton at 29, the next OT off the board was Patrick Paul at 55. I don't know if they tried to move up to grab Guyton, but apparently they had a big enough difference between Polk and the next tier of OTs that they felt Polk's talent outweighed the need at OT.$$$$ sometimes matter to UFAs
