Some PF heads explode

Agree. The quick hit playing fast passing game was not on display. I guess we will have to be patient.

I think right now Vrabel’s priority is establishing their run game against real
Opponents.

so are the gray pants the go to for home games? Hopefully no more all blue garbage
They've been moving away from that for a while now. The media said last season Ownership was aware the current look isn't popular among fans.

They measure arm length for a reason, do they not? I’ll defer to the experts.

It doesn’t necessarily mean it will doom him as a tackle but it wouldn’t be talked about if it was complete fiction as you are making out to be.

I guess that means Dante Scarnecchia isn’t an expert, because you aren’t deferring to him.

This play was a monster gain every single time, whether it was Campbell or Jacobs at LT.

Now this I can respect. Tommy has had concerns about Will Campbell all along, however unlike Sam and State he doesn’t have an agenda. If he whiffs in pass protection he’ll call it out, and if he roadgrades a defensive end or linebacker he will give him credit. That’s how this should work imo, you criticize the bad and praise the good, what sucks is the posters with agendas, who just rag on everything, or just rag relentlessly on specific things, because their lives are miserable, and spreading that misery somehow alleviates their pain and suffering.

A few comments on that - I’m assuming he meant quarters coverage (cover 4) and not quarters defense because there were only 5 DBs out there, not 7.

First, the Pats may have played a lot of quarters simply because Gonzalez and Davis weren’t out there. Might be wasting skill set and strengths if the Pats do that a lot with them in there.

Second, that explains why the McCourtys mentioned Peppers playing in the slot a lot. Doing that in quarters still keeps him near the line of scrimmage, while the rest of the DBs can cover the slot WR as he enters the appropriate zone.

Lastly, I can see why Dugger seems to be losing playing time, because even as the strong safety he’s going to be pedaling back a lot more in this scheme than playing downhill. Not playing to his strengths.

This will be interesting to watch going forward because at first glance I don’t think this approach maximizes the strengths and minimizes the weaknesses of the existing talent, but what do I know? Certainly it makes sense if something happens to Gonzalez and Davis; it’ll help Jones and Austin (and James?) on the outside. Very curious to see how it plays out and to watch them prove me wrong.

I didn't notice him much and when I did I thought he was late but I guess the tape looks better.
Perhaps better coaching can develop him as a LB instead of a player with no position.

I do know that he is NOT making the 53 as a safety.

???

So, you agree that Polk was viewed as a 3rd down talent last year.

And, so, after he had an opportunity under adequate coaching, he should be cut?
======
We ALL agree that we could have done better with our pick, but that shouldn't cause us to cut an asset that perhaps has devalued from being worth a 3rd last year to one that might be valued as a 5th or 6th now with some potential.
======

The point is that there were better WRs than him still available; that’s what makes him a.bad pick.

The kid has raw potential. Solder clone...nice swing guy..

A Solder clone? Not even close. Comparing him to Jellybean is actually an insult to Solder, who was an athletic specimen.

Bryant, Lowe, Jacobs, Wallace, Conley are who we have.

We shall contact you the day after cut-down day to see who you would choose to pick up on waivers

Vrabel has his choices to make

I’ll be here, don’t worry.

For all the hate Bradbury gets, we need to remember he is a borderline elite run blocker. Which i kind of like and hate... cause running again and again doesn't typically lead to scoring or winning. In any case while these grades are great it is hard to know what to make of some, because did you get them vs 1s or 3s? What stands out to me is Cam Riley who i didn't realize played that well in his snaps.

I also wonder why Truman Jones. Wilson and Bryant got those lowish scores. Maybe they are blaming Wilson for the Sack... but it was kind of 4 people's fault IMO and he might be getting all the blame for it. I will also keep a closer eye on Bryant's run blocking next game.... but i thought he did fine in this one. No big pancakes or anything but fine. I will also keep a closer eye on Brown's pass blocking... not that anyone is likely taking that spot from him anyway.

And yes... I think White deserves his grade. He wasn't good thing game. Needs to do better than that. He is better than that.

I happened to see these posted on Reddit. They don’t make much sense to me either. I have doubts.

Agree on Bradbury
